The location can't be beaten. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are clean and comfortable, they're also bigger than other's I've stayed in while in Japan. The complimentary bus to the supermarket is a great added bonus. Also keep an eye out for the troupe of Snow Monkeys that are often in the trees just below the apartment complex on the piste edge.

Thanks for the party

We loved our stay here. Shuto and Yuya were excellent hosts. This place definitely gives off hostel/community vibes however you get the comfort of your own room. Convenient location. It’s hard to get around town if you don’t have a car but there are a few shuttles running throughout the day.

Lo mejor (5 estrellas) es la ubicación Ski in/out en la pista que abre primero y cierra última. Por lo demás el acomodo es muy simple y las instalaciones ya se ven viejtas. Van por tí y te dejan en la estación del tren u bus.

写真と全然違いました。3人で予約してベッド2台とソファベッド1台のお部屋のはずでしたが、ソファが破損していてど真ん中が大きく破れて綿が出ている状態でソファベッド用の布団無しでした。普通に座ることもできません。2日泊でずっと部屋のWi-Fi繋がりませんでした。洗面台にコンセントが無くヘアセットににくく、バスルームとシンクの排水溝のにおいがずっと有り。 テレビ台の全面部分に裂けがあり、それがズボンにひっかかり穴が開きかけたり…その他も外人スタッフ1人で会話が難しい、車のタイヤがひっかかる段差があり駐車が困難、カーペット染みだらけ、螺旋階段がキッチンすぐ背後にあるのでキッチンがまともに使えない等…2泊も予約したのにありえないことだらけでした。証拠に全て写真を撮っています。2度と利用致しません。

hard to imagine a greater contrast between a property and its location. it's situated in an amazingly privileged placement. as far as I can tell it's the only ski-in ski-out accommodation in the area. just strap on your board or skis and you're 30 seconds' glide down to the lift. the only issue about the location is that there are relatively few places in walking distance, and the shuttles stop running early - so be prepared for longish walks or a taxi back from dinner at night. the prime location makes it all the more strange that the property itself is so medicore, like a 2 star hostel. rooms are small and not well kept, with stained carpeting and curtains dangling unevenly from windows. beds are extremely firm, and some bedrooms have no windows. shuto the caretaker is great, but it's crazy that there's only one staff member to manage the whole place, working seven days a week - so it's not surprising that the upkeep isn't great. all in all, this is a pretty decent crashpad for winter sports people given the proximity to the slopes - but if you're looking for comfort, amenities, or anything other than basic accomodations, look elsewhere.

初めての利用でしたが最高でした

初めての利用でした。 駐車場は少し歩きますが、荷物を建物付近に置いてからの移動だったので問題なかったです。冬の利用だと雪の影響でやや難かもしれません。 乾燥室は建物規模からみるとやや狭く感じました。 お部屋は設備もそろっていて何も問題ありませんでした。 ベットサイドにコンセントも有り、スマホ充電しながらの使用も問題ありません。 快適に過ごせたので、来シーズンにまた利用したいと思います。

Great location even better host!

I cannot thank Marcos and wife enough for their hospitality and generosity during our stay. They both went out of their way to help with any questions and were always exceptionally polite. This was our third visit to Hakuba and we are hoping to again visit next year. If we do, without hesitation we will stay at Condominium Hakuba Goryu.

The location of this hotel is excellent: ski in and ski out. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our biggest issue was with the beds: very small and uncomfortable is you are 186 CM. Could be time for new carpets etc.

A good ski apt with a nice host.

Host Marcos is really nice...the drive to supermarket is very helpful, the information for skiing is ample. The ski in / out is convenient, only a few steps away from the gondola. Will recommend to friends.

コンドミニアム運営が海外の方で、主に海外からの方向けの宿なのかなと思います。 ゲレンデに隣接しているので、スキーハイシーズンならば、スキーのまま宿に戻れると思いますが、雪が少なくなり至近のリフトが運休すると、一転して長距離の徒歩か車移動が必要になるので注意が必要です。 Hotels.comに書かれている情報が間違っていて、チェックインにトラブルがあり困惑しましたが、宿自体は清潔で問題ありませんでした。 ホテルや民宿の様なサービスを求めていないのであれば、自由に過ごせる宿です。

The location of the property is excellent, just walk out the back and you are on the slopes, the chair lift is literally outside your window. The accommodation is not fancy, it is basic, but clean. We were able to cook easily as the kitchenette is well complemented, i.e. stove top, microwave, toaster oven, plenty of cutlery, dishes and anything you need to cook with. The bloke manning the desk, Marcos, always made himself available if we needed to go somewhere to get food or ski equipment. He was very dependable. There are a few places you can eat, e.g. a cafe next door and one across the street, but there isn't a lot of variety. Great coffee shop at the foot of the hill leading up to the condo, by this I mean good Melbourne type coffee. When we come back, we will stay here.

部屋は暗め

お部屋の空調がきかなくて部屋が全然暖まらなかった。部屋の照明も暗く部屋も殺風景。リビングの机が小さすぎ。スキー場に来ているのに布団も薄く寒かった。せめて絨毯がひいてあるなどしてあったらよかった。部屋は綺麗にはしてあった。ただスキー場は目の前なので寝てスキーを楽しむには十分かも。

Clean, easy access to slopes.

Our 2nd stay at Hakuba Goryu Condo's. The staff are always helpful, the location is awesome, look out your window and see the lifts!

Family trip for skiing

The hotel is in a great location for skiing. It's under one of the main chair lifts and the room had a little kitchenette, which made it easy to have lunches and dinner while skiing. You do need a car to fully enjoy the hotel as it's not near any train station and/or a store to buy food items.

Hakuba Gem!

The apartments were convenient for skiing in and out and about 300 metres from the resort. The hotel manager would pick people up from the bus when they arrived and left and would also take you to a supermarket if needed. It was the first time our kids skied and it was the best experience ever for them. Owner couldn't have been more helpful and we just loved the proximity to the ski field.

Ski in ski out at Hakabu Goyru.

Rooms are very small, but comfortable. Great position right beside the main lift and you can ski direct to the Gondola. The staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem. They would drive us to the supermarket whenever required and also drove us to restaurants if they were too far away. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. You should note that Hakuba Goyru is one of the smaller resorts and you need to catch a bus to the larger areas (such as Happo). Major complaint was the Internet access. For us, internet access was critical as my wife and I both need to run our respective businesses whilst we are travelling. The Internet connection was very good, BUT it was turned off when the Manager went off duty (around 10.00 pm) and was not turned back on until he arrived back in the morning (at 7.00 am). This was a major issue for us and intensely frustrating. We would not have stayed here if we were aware of this 9 hour black hole1!

Unbeatable convenience, warm welcome

Snowside Goryu Condos is in an amazing location: you can literally look out of the window and talk to people on the chair lift. From the front door, you put on your skis and it's less than a minute's ski to the lift. It's a budget apartment block. This means that, on the down side, the reception is not manned 24/7, the rooms aren't serviced daily, and there's no room service, no guest lounge, no dining room or meals available. On the upside, it is spotlessly clean, everything from lifts to vending machines to self-service laundry and drying room work, there are beds (not futons -- so great for gaijins) and ensuite bathrooms, the rooms are warm and surprisingly spacious for Japan, the kitchenettes are fully functional and well-equipped. The other big upside is the staff. While they're not paid to be there 24/7, they are available at all times of the day and night (including 1.30am arrival and 5am departure) and go out of their way to help. We never had to ask for a lift -- they offered. Noodle restaurant? Sure. I'll give you a lift there in 10 minutes. All this conducted in broken / sign language and big smiles. All in all, big thumbs up
