"We are so thankful to Best Western,Guildwood Inn, they upgraded our room to double queen bed with no extra fees, Very accomodating. With complimentary breakfast. I just wish they have their own pool, but we were able to use the other hotels pool. Clean place. Good Staff."
"I found all the staff to be very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and the beds were soft and comfortable..its a walk from Centennial park where we watched the fireworks. The one negative was having patio doors that didn't open . For our safety, which I understand, but still would have been nice to be able to step outside from our room. Breakfast was good, made to order, no buffet. The pool room was very nice. The temperature was perfect. (There's no sauna, no hot tub) It was a very positive experience due to the kindness of the staff ,and cleanliness. This location also has a Boston pizza in it, which is even better because you don't have to leave to go to dinner if you'd rather just stay in 😊 The location was ideal close to bridge as well for anyone craving those fries . I would definitely book this hotel again in the future"
"Room is clean. AC working properly and the room temperature was fine. Staff was friendly when we checked in. The parking was just step out of the room. I recommend this motel highly."
"The room was perfect for our family. Large fridge, 2 beds and clean room with air conditioning during the heat wave. Breakfast was mediocre but at least offered and free. Friendly and clean environment, close to everywhere we were going."
"The facility is a college residence during the year and provides inexpensive lodging during the summer. The problem I had as a short person is that the beds are very, very high so that students can store their gear under them. I asked the front desk for a stool and they did not have any. I was able to take a flat chair ( the desk chairs in the room were partial rockers) from the game and was this able to climb into bed. In the morning when we checked out we were told that some rooms have lower beds. They should have looked at me and my husband when we checked in and offered us one of those rooms. And they should have a couple of step stools on hand at the front desk."
The Insignia Hotel, Sarnia, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
8/10 Good
"We stop in Sarnia on our way to Michigan and have stayed at the Four Points previously, but we have a teen boy and need a one bedroom suite and they didn’t have one this year, so we ended up in their Executive Suite. The parking and building entrances are a little bizarre. The hotel restaurant wasn't open around 8pm on a Monday. The front desk staff was a little curt, but mostly fine. The room itself was very clean, very modern, and well appointed. They have L’Occitane products and a Nespresso machine which really did elevate the experience. The pullout couch didn’t come with extra blankets or pillows anywhere obvious in the room. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re traveling through."
