"The place is in dire need of a makeover. In the bathroom... No exhaust fan... Hinges and towel racks are rusted... Wall paper is peeling off the walls... Tub/shower faucet is connected wrong. Hot is cold and Cold is hot... Door has noticeable cracks. The front half of the room had no lights. Until this place get renovated, I will not stay there again."

"The building and grounds need maintenance. There's rotting window sills and rain damage on the ceiling, spots of bleach on the carpets and the doorknob of a closet came off in my hand. The TV in the room is incredibly small, the size of a computer screen. You don't come to a hotel to watch TV but like showers, you expect a nice experience. The breakfasts were ok, but not great."

"The place wasn't terrible and the staff was pleasant. The name and photos are misleading. This is basically a motel trying to seem like an inn or small hotel. It looks like the type of place that attracts a questionable clientele, but because it's Old Saybrook, they probably get a lot of wedding/event guests. "We really enjoyed 2 nights at Westbrook Inn. The bed is comfortable, breakfast is delicious, house is beautiful, staff is supper kinda and helpful. Overall Westbrook is a cute town and we certainly feel rejuvenated and happy in this anniversary trip."

"We did not end up staying here. We drove into the parking lot and drove right back out. I wasn't expecting much for the price. However, it looked like a homeless shelter. One of the doors looked like someone had tried to break in, and they just taped it up. It was scary looking. I would rather have slept in my car than stay here for even 1 night."

"Excellent made to order breakfast, awesome balcony overlooking the marina; location is near the Niantic Bay Boardwalk, multiple CT beaches, and lots of shops & restaurants. Staff at the inn were welcoming & made you feel right at home. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. This was a great B&B and I look forward to returning soon."
