There are not eating places around the area that would be suitable for Western tourists. But the hotel cafateria is good wiyh great basic Indian meals. The area around the hotel is typical of working area of small shops and scooter repair shops. Best thig us hotel is very close to metro stations.

Nice hotel at walking distance from Mumbai Central Station. The location is not particularly nice, but the hotel rooms are large, quiet, tidy and with all amenities. The hotel offers kitchen room services and advices for travellers

The hotel turned out to be better than our expectations. It has the same average Mumbai hotel room size but with really clean amenities, generous staff and a beautiful rooftop. The only thing that could be improved is probably installing a lift within the facility and increasing the water pressure in the taps

As expected

The Kumkum hotel was as expected for the price range. Overall it was good, easy to check in. We came in the middle of the night. They served food and this was also of good quality. The hotel rooms were small the bathroom was small, but newly upgraded and of good quality. We had problems getting warm water for shower. We could pay with Apple Pay For a place to sleep and rest in the middle of a journey I would use it again.

Rooms were small but good. However restuarant very small with very limited offerings. Just one poor guy to do everything there! Lots of improvements can be had. Check out time is 9 30am.

Small,bright hotel in a residential area of Mumba.

Compared to other similar priced hotels in Central Mumbai, this small and friendly place is a quiet haven near Grant Road suburban rail station. So it is easy to commute to Churchgate and commercial distict of this huge city. The room I had was large enough for me, as a single tourist and was quiet enough from street noise. However, it was near the reception area and phones /people checking in or out and general staff traffic made room 101 a bit more noisy than I wished, so ear plugs are always useful. The upstairs rooms seemed more inviting and quiet. This hotel caters more for indigenous businessmen so I only saw a few tourists here. The monsoon weather was quite debiltating for me, so I was glad to take several cold showers each day. The ceiling an was excellent and I did not use the a/c system. The shower was very good, but I had to buy some cleaning agents like bleach or harpic to get rid of some scale and mildew from behind the toilet and the base of the door. I stayed there for several days and was pleased to watch a good selection of western or middle east TV stations to keep up with the news outside India. The small restaurant at the top of the building was scrupulously clean, one of the cleanest I've experienced in India and while the menu was not extensive, the food delivered was very tasty. There is a major facelift for the facade of the building underway, but this did not bother me too much for noise or inconvenience.

Je descends toujours sur cet hôtel là, mais là je vais changer parce que le réceptionniste de mauvaise foi aucun service rendu, un employé toujours à la porte pour quémander des pourboires,bouge pas tant qu’on donne pas. Cet hôtel est devenu n’importe quoi. C’est dommage

THE GOOD: compared to other hotels in the area, room size was really good for me. The food is delicious and excellent value for money. The staff are all polite and friendly, the room was cleaned as many times as I wished. The bathroom was clean and cute. THE BAD- WiFi problems due to construction work in the area (not the hotels fault). Walls are quite thin so ask not to be put too close to families with kids! Due to Uber strike I had some problems getting taxis from the hotel. If you want to sleep in, be warned, staff start their work very early and they are not quiet about it. Every morning from 7am they were banging around with buckets outside my room and shouting down the corridors to each other. Other than that, the hotel is great value for money when compared to other hotels in the area and was considerably nicer that my colleagues nearby, who paid quite a lot more for theirs.

Nice hotel.. recommended!

Had a nice stay there, very friendly staffs, room was very neat, worth the price! I was even allowed to leave my luggage at the hotel after check out and i collected it later in the evening before my flight.. nice location as well!
