By day Mount Isa isn't much to look at - there's a huge mine on the edge of the city. But at night it's an impressive sight. The lookout in the city is the best place to enjoy the lights in this outback city.
Lake Moondarra is a beautiful man-made lake outside Mount Isa. You can swim, fish, canoe, go boating or just enjoy the sunset from the lookout like I did.
