Ocean Front at The Entrance

Overall we were happy with our stay. The ocean view from our balcony was great and we saw whales breaching off shore both afternoons. The building is a bit run down and showing signs of neglect. Holiday Inn Express Newcastle by IHG
The room was nice and clean. The bed was nice and comfy. Internet was excellent, and the breakfast was good and a lot to choose from.

QT Newcastle
Hotel was very quirky and staff were brilliant. The downside was that gym is not actually in hotel but you use one down the street. Also they charge for parking which becomes expensive for longer term stays. Rooftop bar had excellent views over the waterfront.
