"We were driving from the UK to the south west of France and wanted somewhere to stay en route. What a wonderful surprise this place was. The house is a big, beautiful, old (really old!) property with very generous rooms and lovely ensuite bathrooms. The hosts are very welcoming and generous. Saintes - who knows why that big town is not more widely known as a tourist destination. Incredible architecture, lovely river walks, greta places to eat. And the best bit - we have 2 large excitable dogs...

"De passage à Saintes, nous avons passé une nuit sur place. Très calme pour bien dormir. Très bon accueil à l’arrivée. Le petit déjeuner dans le jardin le matin c’est au top, notre hôte a été aux petits soins, c’était très agréable. Nous n’hésiterons pas à reprendre une nuit à l’occasion."
