The in-house restaurant is fantastic, the quality of the dishes on offer and you can still get a meal up to 11.30pm. We are late eaters. Contrast this with the studio apartments on offer - lack of air-conditioning is not good and lack of parking, even for a disabled badge holder. We continue to use this hotel as it has BBC 1 and ITV 1 plus Sky news. Could do with other channels like BBC 4, itv 2,3 and 4 and Channels 4 and 5. Many of the guests are Irish but there is no Rte 1, the main Irish channel. Lastly, the location. All the guests we spoke to complained that the hotel is too high up, making the climb from the shopping area an ordeal, especially in the heat. If guests can put up with the negatives it remains a good choice. The temperature of the pool water is just perfect and worth mentioning!

Ganske greit sted å bo for en billig penge! Men hadde litt problemer med maur på kjøkkenet! Fint basseng og rent og pent! Ellers skulle vi ønske det var aircondition, ble veldig varmt og klamt for både oss og baby! Det hjalp med kjøp av vifte og fullt gjennomtrekk hele dagen :) Har du baby og barnevogn anbefalles det en veldig lett vogn da du må bære denne opp alle trappene

Decepción con las camas

El apartamento bien a excepción de las camas ,horrorosas con unos agujeros en los colchones que apenas te dabas la vuelta te saltaba un muelle, como que me tuve que dormir en el sillón y venirme a mi casa con un dolor de espalda tremendo , pero la piscina( muy grande y bonita ) e instalaciones limpitas y camareras y personal muy agradables. Y la televisión se paga aparte

This was our 5th trip back to Puerto Plata, my fiancée and I love the place. It is basic, but has everything you need, and the price is good. Asked to move room on arrival as we were given a ground floor apartment and we like to leave the patio doors open at night. The man on reception was very helpful and moved us without issue.

Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Enkle og noe slitte rom, men greit nok for man er jo mest mulig ute. Område rundt bassenget er rent og fint . Blir vasket hver morgen. Litt skuffet over at Vista Grill ikke var åpnet etter sommeren ennå. Kort åpningstid i butikken også. Men positivt at restauranten nede ved bassenget var åpnet igjen også på kveldstid. Mange trapper og små heiser.

Excellent value

For the price we paid this hotel was outstanding. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Only issue was no fan or air con. They wanted €20 to hire a fan for 4 nights. Good location - 10 min walk from main shopping center which include 2 long flights of stairs (hard to avoid in Puerto Rico) balcony has nice view of Puerto Rico including sea view. Pool and bar area really nice and chilled. Great deal off hotel for airport transfer rather than taxi as our transfer was messed up. Would definitely recommend this hotel :)

Buon hotel con vista meravigliosa

Siamo stati qui per 15 giorni,camera molto funzionale, spaziosa con un bellissimo terrazzo, da cui godevamo una vista meravigliosa. Pulizie 5 giorni a settimana con un cambio lenzuola, peccato che non c'era il letto matrimoniale ma 2 letti singoli.Piscina bella e rilassante con bar con ottimi prezzi. Personale reception, bar e il bagnino Alessandro sempre disponibili e simpatici. L'hotel è nella parte alta del paese, quindi per raggiungerlo ci sono salite e molte scale, comunque per raggiungere il centro e la spiaggia si impiegano solo 10-15 minuti a piedi. Da migliorare il market interno (orari di apertura e prezzi) e la manutenzione degli spazi esterni. Ottima la posizione, il paese è vivace, ricco di ristoranti, locali e da la possibilità di fare molte escursioni su tutta l'isola. Consigliatissimo!!!

Nice cheap place to stay

Old hotel But Nice for The Price. It's hot at Night - no air con. Nice view from my balcony - remember to book/ask for a room with a view. The restaurant at The pool Was terrible! Dont eat there. You Can take a walk to The City/shopping center and find restaurants, bars and shopping. But it is a Nice place for swimmingpool with kids and lively atmosphere with happy hour and drink British People. It Was hard to find a free Sun bed near The pool though The hotel policy Was that they couldn't be reserved.
