"I stayed here for a few weeks due to work and it was very pleasant. While it has some dated features it still had very comfortable beds with nice sheets, hot water, very clean and quiet. The cleaning team were very good at their job and very friendly. It’s in a central location with many restaurants to choose from in Hayes Valley. I would suggest the front desk area be cleaner and more attended but I do recommend this place for the price."

"The Grove Inn was great for a quick trip into San Francisco. Close enough to the area. Be mindful it is San Francisco and the streets are definitely full of hilss. If you can walk, everything is close enough. If you can't, Ubers are always available. The hotel itself was clean and secure with the charm of the Victorian Homes that are known for the area. Will definitely return to stay again. Thank you Azizza!"

"I loved my stay, the staff was super helpful (cleaning staff.) It was a decently sized room with a bay window and such a cute aesthetic. I was able to reach out to customer service easily, and had very few issues. The proximity to Dolores park and being able to uber everywhere was also a plus. Only downside is the drug abuse happening on the street but that’s pretty much every downtown."

"Bedbugs. Completely stained bed cover. Hair in the sheets. Next to a loud bar. Dirty in general. I found a bed bug and got a refund and stayed somewhere else. Yes, it’s cheap but I wouldn’t sleep here for free."

"The room smelled deeply of bleach when we arrived and there were fingernail clippings in the carpet along the walls. The room was really small and awkward, very basic and minimal. Parking was extremely limited."

"Other than the block it’s on is the sketchiest one in San Francisco. if you need a no-frills, just a room to sleep and a place to stash your bags. This is the best joint 100 yards to the Bart station to/from the airport is perfect."

"I LOVE THIS HOTEL!! It's my second multi-night stay in it. EVERYTHING in the "suggested subjects" was "MAX"! The "Community Room" on the first floor really HAD the feeling of ... well ... "community"....including a delightful number of aspiring young Entrepreneurs from South America - perfect English, of course! Clean; sunny-bright; great full-sized appliances including excellent microwave for charming array of coffee-tea-amendments; filtered water. Mind, I have NO reservations about...

"I stayed at Hotel Garrett in San Francisco from May 12–13 and overall had a good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel staff provided good service throughout my stay, and the location is convenient. However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. "Loved this stay very quiet and calm. I really appreciate the security they have. They do not let anyone enter without a booking. Very high standards are respecting everyone’s peace and privacy during their stay. Staff was friendly and patient while doing a late night check in. Very reasonable price not on the high end side, if you need a quick and safe stay. The room was very clean and had the necessary amenities. Overall very pleased."
