"We had problems with the air conditioning and they couldn’t fix it for a couple of days, we had to move to another room later in the evening the next day and then the next room had a leaky shower, the bar and restaurant staff were exceptional, everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was really good, parking was close but not included. "It would have been nice to have had some emenities like shampoo and telephone, but overall it was a really great room and wonderfully located! We got into Inverness on the overnight train, but they wouldn't stow our luggage. That wasn't great. But they did try to accommodate us the best that they could... Still there should be a place that they can store your luggage for you (that isn't the sitting room). They have enough space to do this. "

"We called and emailed and so did expedia for a late check in without response. Made us nervous but were able to check in without issue. The property was nice from what we saw. We just slept and left the next morning. The gentlemen checking us in was very helpful with answers to our questions. "

"Hotel room was clean, modern, had a true king size bed, and the private bathroom shower was truly relaxing! The hotel restaurant serves fantastic food. However, the bar only served Bud draft and a Thai draft beer. I was at the VERY LEAST expecting to be served with a local Scottish beer — huge bummer! The Mercure Hotel is located in the middle town, a one minute walk to Victoria Market— huge plus!"
