"Basic things that were neglected or done poorly 1) no pre check in email was received resulting in us being stuck outside the property as we were not informed of the access code to gain entry into the property. Imagine being caught in a situation when you had 4 cars backed up behind you and you couldn’t get in - enough said 2) no air conditioning in the rooms and the windows can’t be open. Rooms are hot, stuffy and poorly ventilated- would have been helpful to have that piece on information on...

"We booked one night in the lodge. The instructions for check in were easy to follow and our room and the communal areas (kitchen and bathrooms) were very clean and presentable. The lodge is right right next to the restaurant and Altho we did not eat there, the food smelt delicious."

"Beautifully converted shearer’s quarters with so many lovely touches. The communal kitchen provided a breakfast and all cooking options to be able to self cater with a roaring fire for heating. Very pleasant stay."

"Unfortunately this hotel has gone severely down hill post covid. The restaurant was average and lacked atmosphere. Food was not up to standards as promoted online. I came here 6 years ago and it was excellent. It was a very different experience and left very dissatisfied and disappointed. Rooms were clean. Jacuzzi was not working. Will not be coming back sadly👎"
