The condo itself was fine, other than we did not have enough towels to accommodate 8 people. The Alexander Hotel is NOT a luxury resort. There is NO maid service. You have to take your dirty towels down to the rude front desk and exchange them, one for one, every day. You also have to request trash bags and toilet paper. The valet service, which you are forced to use, does nothing outside of bringing your car. Not one time did they open any of our doors or get our bags or luggage. Other than the front lobby, the elevators and hallways are littered with trash. The pool area is nice and updated but has very strict rules. I had to show what was in my pool bag every day to make sure I didn’t have so much as a water bottle. No outside food or drink allowed. But out of all 5 days at the pool, I only had a pool server ask me one time if we wanted anything from the bar. 2 alcoholic drinks and 6 non alcoholic drinks totaling $120! You can also sit on the beach but there is no bar or food service out there. Only 2 times out of the 5 days did they actually have any towels at the pool ready. There is also no room service at this “luxury” resort. The only resistant is a Jewish restaurant. The permanent residents of the building are extremely rude, cutting in front of guests at the elevators and closing the doors on them. Like I stated our condo was good, but the “resort” itself brought our experience way down.
