Highgate Independent Miami Beach hotels

"Room was fine. Staff were pleasant. We ate one meal in the restaurant on site and they completely messed it up, but in the end did get us what we ordered after delay. The building is clean enough. Lots of wallpaper pealing in common areas. Windows dirty. No parking on site. They refer you to two different public parking lots which one was very expensive, or the option to valet in the hotel next door. We chose the valet which was $20 a day cash only. I didn’t have cash and was forced to use their ATM to get money out which resulted in fees to take out the money. During the weekend when we took out our car, I overheard the valet tell a guest of our hotel attempting to park with them that it was full and turned them away. Was also fronted with a “resort fee” when we checked in over $100 on top of the credit hold for the room. Likely would not stay again at this location or recommend others to do so. "

"Area was great. The room was small and needed to be re cleaned after we found it was dirty. The bed was comfy."
