"El Gran Hotel - Beautiful, historical, lots of detail in the building and furnishings. The staff was very nice and helpful at all times. With the hotel, being in Mérida Centro, it is nice to walk to the garden, the Cathedrals, the Vaqueria and Jarana, traditional dances, on Monday and much more. I would recommend this hotel."

"We stay at this hotel quite often. It is a beautiful colonial building with a lovely courtyard. The staff is always courteous and helpful. It is within a short walking distance to everything and has convenient parking on sight. Highly recommend."

"The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was excellent, and our room was spacious with a super comfortable bed. The pool was on the smaller side, but it was still great and served its purpose well. I also had an in-room massage, which was both convenient and relaxing. If we're back in the area, we’ll definitely stay here again!"

"The location was excellent . It is in the center of the 'centro' district , a close walk to restaurants, museums, shopping. It's off the main commercial avenues so it's not congested and quieter. The staff is knowledgeable about the area and services (thanks Roberto and Mario) and apparently always at hand (my late-night wifi rescue). I liked staying here."
