The Old Town Bridge Tower (Staroměstská mostecká věž) is a striking Gothic monument that heralds the entrance to Prague’s Old Town neighbourhood. It’s also the eastern gateway to Charles Bridge, a historic bridge that crosses the Vltava River. Famed German-Czech architect Petr Parléř designed the tower in the late 1300s under the order of King Charles IV. Walk through the tower’s arch, as the Czech kings once did during coronation processions.
