"The location of this hotel was wonderful and the staff all were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were dingy and the walls were not sound insulated to the point that I could hear conversations in the next room along with people’s alarms. Also the sheets had stains and the beds were very damp. Was overall very disappointed!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barclay's Cottage. The cottage is very cozy and well maintained. The Owner, Chris, was super accommodating with our schedule. The place is really close to the fun and we had a blast. We hope to return soon."

"The hotel is right in front of the board walk. Parking space looks scarce, but there is one across the street. Another one is next to the public restroom and beach access. The grill is also conveniently located in the boardwalk side."

"Excellent service, located 2 blocks to Virginia Beach, close to very good restaurants. Very clean. Will return for next vacation."

"The was not clean upon arrival. There's a huge water stain on the ceiling. You can't open the bathroom door all the way, it hits the toilet and and the toilet is very off center and wobbly as a result. The hair dryer doesn't work, the phone doesn't work, and we had to have our room key reprogrammed twice. We were told that we would be moved to another room, but they never did move us."
