I love this hotel, we visit every year. It is very relaxing, the pools are great and the indoor thermal pool is amazing. Spa service is very good also. Food is fantastic, staff are very professional and friendly. The service in the bar/cafe can be very slow. The bedrooms are very old and really need to be renovated, they smell of damp and are very dusty. It is a shame as the rest of the hotel is absolutely lovely.

Comfortable and elegant hotel with thermal baths.

Comfortable and elegant hotel with access to stylish outdoor pool and thermal bath included. Our pet dog was welcomed but not allowed in the dining room or by the outdoor pool - OK in summer when you can eat on the patio. Short drive from Solares to Santander.

Overall this is a nice hotel. The thermal pool is excellent! The 40 euro spa is nice, but not worth 40 euros. Our air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived and they came within the hour to fix it. Fun fact: the hotel turns off the air conditioning from 0200 to 0600 ish, so if you wake up warm, that’s why.

Not impressed

The castle is beautiful, however the front desk check in lady was rude, so that was my initial impression. The rooms were a bit outdated, no tea kettles in room, termal pool was not termal or hot.. it was slightly warm, just overall not impressed. It was not worth the price paid per night. Parking in garage was 6.50 euros per night which was fair and nice because lift goes up to room from garage. The breakfast buffet was nice with many options. This was also an extra charge.

Well located for access to Santander sea port. Beautiful building and quiet location that welcomed our dog for €19 (€150 deposit refunded on check out) Pros: . Secure underground parking free of charge . Quality and quantity of breakfast included in the rate . Room size . Bathroom size and complimentary spa quality shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc. . Quiet . Pet friendly . Local restaurants and supermarket within walking distance . Pleasant bar area … able to sit on the terrace with our dog Cons : . Room service has limited menu and is not served until 2030 hours Biggest Con: . Air conditioning is switched off centrally between the hours of 0100 and 0700 The biggest con spoiled our stay as the room was over hot and we were unable to sleep.
