"This hotel is just amazing, the property is well maintained, the rooms are beautiful and the staff id super friendly and helpful truly made our stay unforgettable, the hotel location is unmatched right on the beach, at night it was quiet"
"We had a lovely stay at the Zoa in July 2026.
Positives: wonderful views, our room was spotless, and we had fantastic service from staff who were friendly and always happy to facilitate requests, including making reservations for dinner at local venues and organising transport and arranging for World Cup games to be screened. Special thanks to Jose, Marco and Salomon.
Negatives: in a 5 star hotel it would be good to have a selection of wines available by the glass. Bottles of wine were good quality but very very expensive compared with other hotels we visited during our trip to Mexico."
"All off the staff were kind and accommodating , we were able to borrow snorkel and other equipment for a picnic. The room was quiet and comfortable. The rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans. The food from the restaurant was good too. They use local toiletries( soap, conditioner, shower gel and moisturizer ) and they also inform the guests about their policy of conserving water and energy. It was a wonderful stay."
"We stayed 4 nights at the hotel Pochote in Mazunte. The room was very large with hot water and air conditioning. Despite looking out onto the main road thru town, it was very quiet during the evening hours. The staff are very friendly and on of the managers named Abi speaks excellent English"
"This is a really beautiful hotel. The room was stunning, super comfy bed and the pool area was perfect. I was slightly concerned about the location being too remote but the walk to the town was an easy(ish) 10 minutes and there were always taxis available to bring us back, day and night (only 100 pesos). We stayed out of season so were the only guests but the host, Luigi, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The only disappointment was that no breakfast was available (due to low season). Given the location outside the town this wasn’t ideal. A fridge and coffee making facilities in the room would also have improved the stay. Overall though a stunning hotel which I would absolutely recommend."
"This hotel definitely comes with a bit of a workout — there are quite a few stairs to climb to get around the property. That said, it’s one of those rare cases where the effort genuinely pays off. The views from up top are absolutely stunning and make every step worth it.
The room itself was fantastic. It was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight, though, was the balcony — overlooking the ocean with a clear view of the sunset. It was the kind of view you don’t get tired of, no matter how many times you see it.
Service was fairly simple and no-frills, but the staff were attentive when needed and made sure things ran smoothly throughout my stay.
Another big plus is the location. It’s close enough to downtown to be easily walkable, which made exploring the area convenient without needing transportation.
Overall, if you don’t mind a bit of climbing, this place delivers where it counts — views, comfort, and a solid location."
