"The hotel, staff, breakfast, bathroom and bedroom were all very good. The poor rating is because it's impossible to get a decent sleep! The stairs up to my room and a cluster of other rooms are made of wood, so when one group of guests came home at 1:05am, I'm woken up just by their footsteps clomping and echoing on the wooden stairs. Then at 3:41am, a family leaves early for the airport, so I'm re-awoken, again by the stairs. No one was rude or yelling or drunk. The design makes it inevitable that anyone walking up or down these stairs will wake the people in those 4 rooms. And ironically I had specifically asked for the "quietest room possible" as I'm no partier. The fact they haven't fixed this terrible design and didn't bother to find me a better room given my request is very disappointing. "
"The pool is wonderful, with a beautiful view and access to a small private beach, which is small but very charming. Breakfast is varied and good. The hotel has great potential due to its location and structure.
However, it lacks management and attention to detail. Upon arrival, we entered through a large gate leading to a courtyard with several doors, but there were no signs indicating where the reception or parking was located, nor were there staff available to welcome or guide guests. Signage inside the hotel is also poor, and even finding the main restaurant was difficult.
The service is very basic, with no warmth or friendliness, which does not match the standards expected of a resort. Our room was on the second floor, accessible only by a narrow and steep external staircase, which was very inconvenient with heavy luggage.
At the pool, although the area is pleasant, there were no towels available, and we had to walk all the way to the reception, which was far away, to get them. On one morning, the music was excessively loud and not appropriate for a relaxing atmosphere. In addition, the pool bathrooms had plastic structures, including the walls, which felt makeshift and not up to resort standards.
Overall, this hotel has great potential, but it clearly lacks professional management and attention to detail to truly match the level expected of a resort."
"THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!
This hotel is very dated, not modern, and run down. On the way to our room, the lighting was overly dim, carpet stained and worn, and some rooms were wide open. Upon entering our room, it smelled musty/almost mildewy, the bedding and towels were very old, thin, and scratchy. The bathroom was also very unclean. Under the Sink was dirty, the toilet “flush” button wasn’t properly affixed to the wall and you could pull it about a half inch off the wall. The shower was also dirty, the grout was black in places from lack of cleaning. The entire floor of our room was sticky like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The blinds were also ripped so didn’t close properly. The gym also wasn’t part of the property. It was owned by another company, you had to pay to use (the fee is mentioned in the description) but it’s not open daily. I picked this hotel partially for having a gym available. Also there was an alarm going off for over 2 hours our first morning there. The staff was very kind and definitely wonderful but the facility itself and all that comes with it, is extremely low quality. They did end up comping a night as we called hotels.com to complain and they reached out to the hotel. But it Is easily only a 2 star hotel based on quality of accommodations. "
