"Room was clean and provided kitchen materials to make breakfast if you buy the basics. Their continental breakfast was $16 each and cappuchino was $5. Dinner was very tasty with a good seafood chowder. White wine was good quality (its Central Otago!) and fair price.... Plenty of space in the room. Hard to regulate the shower volume...always full flow. Comfortable motel, would stay again. Roger. "

"I had a lovely albeit short stay at Hawkdun Rise. Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept.
