"Stayed solo in a basic room for a June conference at Oaklawn Park. Within walking distance of Oaklawn Park and Waffle House. Conveniently located on Central Avenue/Highway 7, a short distance from downtown (North), and shops, stores and the 70 Bypass/ MLK Expressway (South). Newer facility with everything in the room being new, clean and in working order, and it is a gated facility with a gate code for entry into the inn grounds and a room code for entry into the room. The wall unit blew cold A/C, hot shower with high water pressure, oversized flat screen tv, comfortable king size bed, and apartment-sized refrigerator/freezer. Decent sized microwave. Snacks in the room were a plus and the bedside lamps on nice nightstands were touch lamps with USB C & A ports. Staff always answered the phone the few times I called with questions. Parked right in front of the room with easy and quick transport of belongings into the room. Well lighted facility; I didn’t lack for anything I needed during my stay. I have stayed in several hotels over many years in Hot Springs and rate this one as an excellent value, a true gem that should rise in popularity over time."
"So, we were very excited about staying on the lake. We didn’t request a lake view room and didn’t get one. No big deal. Check in was so basic that we were only give keys and room number. No directives to the elevator, breakfast time/area, pool, nothing. We found our room and it was incredibly musty. Like literally damp. All our paperwork curled and softened. The soaps we had softened. The refrigerator froze all of our items. No way to adjust temp. Our microwave made a ticking sound constantly so we had to unplug. The phone didn’t work. The bath tub needed to be refinished and the shower curtain would not stay, it kept sliding to the middle. Since our phone didn’t work, we guessed on breakfast. Slim pickings…. Clearly they do not replenish during the breakfast hours. Literally, you snooze you lose. BUT, the location was fantastic! Close to restaurants, shopping, and a straight shot into downtown. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bath towels were very nice. Will I stay there again, no. Will I recommend it, no."
"Great location and very good staff! They all went above and beyond to make sure we had everything! The bartender even served us a drink with about 5 minutes before they closed."
"Staff was great and helpful, pool was a nice touch. Breakfast was your typical setup. The issues I had came with the room. When I entered my room for the first time a few light didn't work, the floor wasn't vacuumed, the base of the dining room table was sticky and dirty. There was still some leftover items from the previous guest. The room was booked for 6 people and we were given 2 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and 4 regular towels. The day they were supposed to vacuum they came in missed a ton of spots. At the beginning of our stay we asked about a kitchenette with a dishwasher and no dishes and front desk said they didn't do that. We came back from exploring the town to a cabinet full of dishes and a coffee maker being added to our room which tells me it was supposed to be in the room to begin with. Mentioned a few lights not working and was told it would get fixed, it remained not working until checkout. Honestly the price we paid for the room would bring me back but hugely disappointed after reading how well majority stays are in the hotel. (2/5)"
"1st night woke up to paint 4 dead gaint roaches on the floor moved to a 2nd floor floor room which was much better the 2nd night other than that it was nice"
