Hotels in Marquisville, Des Moines

"The hotel is across the street from the south side of the beautiful Drake University so only a 3 block walk to the football/track stadium. The hotel is now about 5 years old. Everything is nice BUT if you want to wash your hands in the bathroom sink, well good luck! The spout is set sooo far back on the countertop, and the faucet spout is sooo short the water barely runs into the sink. There's noooo room to get your fingers behind the water to wash them. It's the same in EVERY room. OTHERS have reviewed the same, so that tells me that corporate doesn't give a dam!!! Just keep taking our money and don't give or fix anything. There are 2 simple fixes but after 5 years, you know the rest of the story. Just another "do nothing" company."

"Bathroom was clean and had what I needed. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was an issue. No food at 9:00 in the morning. Waited for hot food. Waited some more. Nothing. This has happened several other times we were there. No one seems to be working in the breakfast area."

"I have never stayed in such a run down nasty hotel. It’s by the highway, and you hear it loud and clear. Never again. Traveled to Winterset after leaving Des Moines stayed a a hotel called Cobblestone it was beautiful, very clean, free breakfast, great service, bar. For a few dollars more than the hotel in DesMoines. I will stay there from now on, even though it’s an hour outside of DesMoines."
