"Lovely stay at the Gaia Hotel. The location is ideal and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant was excellent and accommodated my gluten issue. Gorgeous sunset views from the bar at the top of the resort. Because the resort ascends up the hill, there are lots of stone tile steps that can be tricky to navigate. Watch your step. Be sure to tour Manuel Antonio National Park (reserve a ticket in advance) and go to the swimmable beach in the park. The beach closest to the resort has strong currents. Be careful and listen to the lifeguards and don't go out beyond your waist. "

"This place is absolutely beautiful and just a 5-minute walk from the beach, offering stunning ocean views. The staff are so friendly, and the breakfast buffet included delicious papaya and mango. "

"Where this property is situated makes the view of the ocean even better! The staff are nice and you just can’t match it with any other place. From having animal visitors like the monkeys or seeing the birds, it really is an incredible place. The only thing I would have to call out is in the evening at night there are these beatle/spider looking bugs and the rooms for some reason have an opening that they can easily enter. I was able to block them after spraying Lysol and covering the hole with tissues. I know it’s expected to have bugs around but that small gap on the bottom of the door is what threw us off. Other than that, the ocean view room was incredible and I can’t wait to go back with my family this time around! "

"Overall, the property was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The wildlife was a highlight of the stay. We saw monkeys, a sloth, lizards and many different types of birds, which made the experience feel especially unique. The hotel itself was peaceful and never felt overly crowded, which was a major plus. The main drawback was the service, which was consistently slow throughout the stay. From check-in to being seated and served at lunch and dinner, there were noticeable delays. At the wet bar, I waited about 15 minutes before the bartender was able to take my order. It did not seem to be a reflection of the staff themselves, but rather that the property appeared understaffed, especially at the restaurants and bars. Checkout was similar, with only one person at the front desk managing both phone calls and guest departures. The food and drinks were very good and clearly well prepared, though they felt overpriced given the level of service. Overall, the property itself was lovely and the setting was memorable, but the staffing and service experience did not quite match the price point. Note: If you plan to drive, be extremely careful as there were a lot of cars parked on the side of the road by beach goers, making it narrow and dangerous with oncoming vehicles."

"Cute cabaña with kitchen. We didn't cook, but used the frig. Beds very comfortable, AC worked well (and was needed). Host was fun and gave good information. We were a little worried about it being right next to the road to Manuel Antonio, but very little sound came inside. "Resident" iguana and frequent squirrel monkey visits. Recommend."
