Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption und des Frühstücksraum sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten 2 Superior-Doppelzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer. Alle diese Zimmer sind im ersten Stock, ausnahmslos ohne Balkon (im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Zimmern - keine Superior Kategorie!), keine Minibar und nur bedingt sauber. (Der Regenwaldduschkopf wurde schon seeeehr lange nicht mehr oben gereinigt, sieht man aber auch nur wenn man die Zähne putzt und in den Spiegel schaut.....). Der dazugehörgige Hirschenwirt wird auf Nachfrage auch von Einheimischen gemieden, dieser Empfehlung sind wir gefolgt. Als wir vom Abendessen in die Bar zurückkehrten wurde dies noch mit einer miserablen Serviceleistungen gekrönt. Obwohl die Öffnungszeit der Bar bis 22 Uhr angeschrieben war, kam der Barmitarbeiter um 21:45 Uhr mit der Rechnung und warf uns raus - mit den Worten: “Eigentlich wollte ich schon um 21 Uhr zusperren.” Auch auf Nachfrage ob wir noch Getränke als letzte Runde bekommen und die Gläser einfach stehen lassen würden, wurde wie folgt beantwortet: “Nein, ich habe die Rechnung bereits fertig gemacht.” Letztklassiger Service und deswegen kommen wir gerne wieder nach Mariazell, dann allerdings sicher in ein anderes Hotel.

Für ein 4Stern-Hotel war der Gesamtzustand enttäuschend. Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, das Bett ist durchgelegen usw. Deshalb ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis einfach nicht mehr stimmig! Vorallem aber das Frühstück um € 18 pro Person ist einfach nur Überteuert. Bei einem Frühstück um diesen Betrag erwartet man dann doch sehr viel mehr Auswahl (Lachs, Schinken usw.) aber leider fehl am Platz, es wurde sogar nicht mehr aufgefüllt, wenn etwas leer war - sehr schade.

Der Preis für Frühstück war absolut überteuert. Das Hotel ist leider in die Jahre gekommen- das sieht man an vielen Stellen- andererseits gibt es auch einige neue Bereiche. Es wäre schön wenn man eine einheitliche Linie sehen würde.

Suitable hotel in the center of a boring town.

The hotel is fine and in decent condition. The walls are thin enabling me to hear my neighbors' TV. The staff were generally unable to converse in English and thus I had to use my broken German to try to get by - this resulted in my interactions with all but one person (a waitress at breakfast) being terse and cold - which is not/not typical for Austrians. The heat is set too low and thus led to some shivers during the night (needed two blankets to keep warm) and the shower doesn't have a shower curtain - I suspected I was supposed to let it spray into the bathroom? Furthermore, there is no WiFi signal at all in the room and breakfast was not included in the room rate. Finally, Mariazell was a snooze - I'm sure it has some big draw, but I was there during ski season and it left me cold. There's much better value further west in Austria.

Direkt im Zentrum, aber mit Mängeln

Die Lage ist toll, aber das Zimmer leider schon sehr überholt. Es gab keine Duschwand bei der Badewanne und so wurde das ganze Bad nass. Die Türdichtungen sind zusammen gestückelt usw. Preis- Leistung passen einfach nicht in diesem Hotel. Wir haben am Ende ohne Frühstück mehr gezahlt, als in einem tollen 4 Stern Hotel in Wien mit Frühstück

Hotel ok, Betten eine Katastrophe

Ankunft war okay. Es wurde uns der Schlüssel in die Hand gedrückt und wir mussten uns das Zimmer selbst suchen. Beim Duschen brauchte man eine dritte Hand weil für den Duschkopf keine Befestigungsmöglichkeit vorhanden war. Das schlimmste waren die Matratzen !!! Total durchgelegen das man ein Loch in der Mitte hatte. So ein Bett habe ich noch nie erlebt. Ich habe 2 Stunden geschlafen und meine Frau auch nicht mehr. Danke .NIE WIEDER.

Mitten im Zentrum

Check in und Parkmöglichkeit top. Das Zimmer neu ausgestattet, aber für eine Suite leider mit einigen Mängeln. Ein schöner Wohnbereich mit Leseecke, aber ein Flachbildfernseher nur im Schlafzimmer mit mäßigem Bild. Leider die Sanierung im Zimmer steckengeblieben. Der Balkon sollte dringendst saniert werden, und die PVC-Sessel mit Tisch gegen annehmbares getauscht werden. Warum auf dem Balkon zwischen 2 Türen eine angerostete Trennwand steht weiß niemand. Frühstück.: Das Gebäck, bitte nebenan ist eine Bäckerei, holt frisches Gebäck und nicht dieses Aufgebackene Irgendwas.

Sehr ambientreiches Hotel. Schickes Zimmer. Hilfsbereites Team (konnten schon früher einchecken. Tolle Lage um das wunderschöne Mariazell zu erkunden. Erschwinglicher Preis.

Teuer dafür mit Schimmelbefall

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis wird hier ad absurdum geführt, so was ist mir in Hong Kong oder NY noch nicht passiert. Die Dusche war von schwarzem Schimmel befallen, die Hotelleitung bedauerte und bot ein kleineres Zimmer an, dafür mit Balkon was bei starkem Schneefall und Minusgraden etwas befremdlich war. Trotz des ungebührlich hohen Preises war kein Frühstück inkludiert, dafür roch das ganze Hotel, schon beim Reinkommen, nach Küche. Aktivhotel Weisser Hirsch - NIE WIEDER!

Expensive labyrinth

The hotel is a labyrinth. Our windows opened into an inside corridor with no sound absorption, i.e. we heard anyone walking in the passageway. Wifi is only available in the lobby which is also a bar with smoking permitted. Ugh!
