"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"I recently stayed at Shenandoah House while visiting family nearby, and chose it because it was pet-friendly and had such excellent reviews. I’m so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, we received a genuinely warm welcome from Jim, who immediately made friends with our dog. The room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. The cooked English breakfast was honestly one of the best I’ve had, and the breakfast room itself was a great bonus, with a fridge and microwave available for guests to use. There’s also a lovely garden, which Jim is happy to allow dogs into. Parking was on street with no restrictions, and the area itself was very quiet. The location is ideal, the beach is just a short walk away, the station is nearby and it’s an easy, pleasant 15 minute walk into the main centre. Overall, it truly felt like a home‑from‑home experience and offered great value for money. I’ll definitely be booking here again. "

"My partner and I have stayed for a few nights over New Year’s Eve. The initial room wasn’t so great but after we complained we was treated and given the best room in the hotel! The management team are 10/10 and by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Thank you again we will certainly see you again soon "

"The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Was a little disappointed to be charged for parking, this seemed a little unnecessary given the location and felt like just a way to extract more money from guests. Given the location almost all guests would have to have driven so it would be clearer to include the full costs in one hotel price than have hidden costs as soon as you arrive. "
