Perfect Family Vacation

We loved our stay at this villa! The view of the canal was great! The location was perfect for us. One of my favorite memories will always be coffee on the porch in the morning with family. We saw manatees almost every day in the canal. The pool was perfect! I have no complaints except you are only given 2 garbage bags for your entire stay and not enough toilet paper for a larger group. The coffee maker was broken when we arrived but a quick call to the property manager and a new one was promptly dropped off. All and all, my whole family was very happy with this villa.

This review is for Villa 5, as there are various rental villas on property. This villa is in a great location, midway between Key Largo & Key West, with many services and opportunities there in Marathon. It has up and down decks & a nice view onto the canal. However, you should be aware that view comes with a lack of privacy, as your neighbors on both sides (the villas are attached by common walls) are very close with only short railings between units. We had several issues during our week rental. The 1st was the heating system did not work on arrival, a particularly cold day. Mgmt was informed immediately, but it took about 24 hours to fix. The repairman indicated that it had not been turned on since last year. The villa's cleaning & inspection regimen apparently did not include the HVAC system. Note that you are dealing with a property mgmt company, not the villa owner, and neither is on-site. The same day we discovered the electric grill was not working That was fixed but again took some time to be addressed. Additionally, we found that there was nothing provided to cook in the oven-no broiler pan, cookie sheet or the like. That complaint was never rectified. Finally, the fridge died 1 day. In that case mgmt made special effort to replace the same day. In sum, nice place, nice location, could use a little more speedy attention to problems that arise.

Please Replace Bed in 2nd Bedroom

The property is pretty. The grounds and pool were well maintained. The queen bed in the 2nd bedroom was impossible for two people to sleep in. If you make the slightest movement it squeaks incredibly loud. I called Keys Caribbean to ask for linens for the pullout sofa downstairs. Nobody returned my call. I emailed them, but nobody answered my email. Sleeping on the short couch all week was a big disappointment.

Beautiful location. Grounds were very well done. Spacious condo. The pool area was very nice. Having the notebook of parks and restaurants was a huge help. My only concerns were the many nails on the back porch that were sticking up and the poor reception with the cable tv.

Location was great. Right off the canal. We didn’t spend much time at the pool area but it seemed nice. It was great having the space. Only minor complaint is that a credit card must be provide for a deposit but the email they send looks like it could be spam. Turns out not to be but you I was very cautious at first.

Coral Lagoon is always exceptional. Amazing time with the family. Our cottage had a light lamp out we didnt even notice and later staff came to inform us and replaced it within no time.

We liked the location since it was quiet, but had everything you need a short drive away. Wished there was an office. Needed to print some things. They offered to print the things I needed, but I would have had to wait an hour for it to be delivered.

A little more attention to detail needed!

We loved the location, decor and views from this unit, but the owners need a new cleaning crew and need to update the dishes and utensils. We found dirty dishes, leftover food, dust everywhere slightly out of reach, dirty walls, just general lack of attention to detail and it’s too bad because otherwise we would highly recommend this place. For a small investment they would get 5 stars!!

Great place.

Great place have stayed many times - Not enough towels though. Never saw anyone, at reception to ask, all keyless entry etc., Wanted to extend one more night and couldn't due to the 2 day minimum stay criteria. - even though we had stayed 2 already. Nice, place comfortable. Pool furniture starting to look a little old...But over all still good.

Fabulous Property

I want to say excellent for every aspect of this resort but unfortunately cannot. The property was amazing, (property number 5) everything one could wish for, amazing position on the waterfront. The problem was that the property just lacked a little bit of care. The floor wasn’t particularly clean, the sofa was very stained and the bedding was far from white. It was just a little tired. Having said this we had an amazing time, we would go back in a flash but a little care and attention is all that’s required.

Location, location, location

The location was fantastic. Close to everything, fantastic view, nice property. The layout of the house was very nice. The pool was clean and not very busy, so it was great to be able to easily find a lounge chair. They had a restroom at the pool as well which was very convenient. The reason this didn't get 5 stars was that I think it needs a little maintenance. My fiancee & I shared the master bedroom and the bed was comfortable. But the sheets are pilled and uncomfortable. Also, the bed squeaked when we moved, making any extracurricular activities difficult. Our friends stayed in the other bedroom with a queen bed and she said it was the most uncomfortable bed she has slept in. She took sleeping pills after the first night so she could sleep. Please note that she said the view made up for it. :) There is also other items that could use attention...lots of scuffs on the walls, broken foot holder in shower, containers with no lids...lids with no containers, SUPER loud clothes washer.

The property is gorgeous, very clean and quiet. Loved the porch and balcony and views .

Loved being there. Clean and spacious with lovely views. Wish we could have fished from the property as there were fish back there. Only concern was that the directions said to take our trash to the dumpster way beyond the marina building. For the price we paid, we should not have to do that. Otherwise it was a very nice place to stay.

Charming and comfortable

The villas are arranged nicely in a little neighborhood away from the main road, and the grounds are quaint and neat. Pool was clean and lit at night. My code on the door did not work when I arrived, but I called and they changed it for me right over the phone. On day 2 the oven door handle came off and I called and I guy was there in 10 minutes. It was 830 at night! I like staying somewhere that is well run ( not like some. Vrbo)

Coral Lagoon

The villa we rented was amazing, it has everything you need and provided us the opportunity to cook if we didn't want to eat out. The Publix was only 2-3 miles away and there was a Dunkin Donuts and IHOP the same distance. The villa is in a perfect location being in the middle of the Keys. The only downfall is the property management company that runs the resort. We tried to get ahold of them on the phone 2-3 times before arriving at the resort and never received a response back. This lead to having an issue checking in as we never received the information needed to gain access to the property. We almost had to switch resorts upon arrival because of the property management office, particularly Stacy, not returning our calls and providing us with the information needed to gain access to the resort. Hotels.com's relocation department was the only department that was able to assist us with our issues.
