"Highly recommend the Loft as it was a beautiful space. The Heddle room has a glass window in the door to the bathroom. Technically you could shower in privacy but I would rather a solid door. Staff handled an issue with our original room well. They were immediately available when I called and provided both a short term (moving rooms for the night) and long term solution (fixing the issue) plan within ten minutes. Heddle room is a good option if you need a place to sleep and will be otherwise...

"Not what it used to be a few years ago when we had a great long weekend. The guest they allow here trash the outside and is not being maintained. They shouldn’t be pet friendly. The outside stank of dog poop which you could see! And the 1st flr hallway smelled of wet dog mixed with cigarets. Also, someone left their dog by itself in the hallway one night. From the inside of the room you can hear EVERYTHING! Same thing from outside the room. This is what ruined our stay."

"My husband and I stayed at this establishment on March 28 &29, 2026. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations and the cleanliness of the room. The hotel's location, conveniently situated off a major highway, was remarkably peaceful, with no noticeable noise from the highway. "I was greeted warmly when checking in, I had a comfortable bed, hot water. I didn't use the microwave or fridge. The breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes in the buffets. A pancake maker. And the other items you'd expect from a continental breakfast. The only bad mark has nothing to do with the hotel. I was at the end closest to Post Rd. Friday night had a lot of cars flooring their load engines, I assume making the on ramp. Had to turn on the fan to partially mask...

"I was pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the building and decor of the 18th century era. The owner puts great effort into making it an enjoyable experience. As a history fan this place surpassed my expectations. The breakfast was wonderful too!"

"Breakfast is 16 per person -skipped Room was ok for price - you get what you pay for This hotel does have people living there full time & police circling every so often. Didn’t feel safe Night time was loud. Should have read reviews before staying here as place is known for thefts in the rooms. Also had people knocking at the door at 12am - kept the latch on the door Wouldn’t recommend for anything longer than one night at your own risk "

"The property was very run down. The chair had stains, holes, and was ripped in places. Neither the shower nor the sink drained very fast. There was no place to put a suitcase, and the only place to put a computer was on the end table beside the bed. The sink fixtures were rusty."
