"We decide to stay at Molton, not York due to the relatively higher price of the York hotel and our trip plan. It proves to be a good choice. The property located in a small and quiet town with about 10-15 minutes walk to the railway station. It may look normal from outside but when you step in, you would be impressed by the warm and cozy atmosphere. The first floor is the restaurant and a bar, with so many selections. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. "Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

"The location of the property is good if you don't mind walking. The parking permit given to allow parking in certain zones is very good. Although if busy can be difficult to find a space but that is nothing the owners can control. The room was clean. We had the small double room. It is very compact.
