Hotel Dekat Madison Avenue Central Park

"Room was clean, bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was nice and clean, water pressure was quite sad but great room, we had 2 of them for 6 of us. Breakfast was nice, waffle machine, eggs & sausage links, biscuits & gravy. Bagels & English muffins hard boiled eggs yogurt juice and coffee. Could use more seating as a lot of people had to stand while family ate. When checking in the staff was extremely kind. "Shower in a room on 4th floor hot water would not adjust. It would either be too hot or too cold. Management put the room out of order and upgraded us to a 3rd floor room that was the best nights sleep we had had in days."

"We never unpacked in our room. There were stains on the bed and mold in the shower. We stood at the front desk for 30 minutes and no one came so we left our keys and left the property. I tried to call the hotel 26 times in the next 24 hours and no one would answer. The front desk clerk hangs out in one of the rooms and watches a camera over the front desk. The swimming pool was green and had algae in it. This place looks like a rent by the hour place and needs shut down."

"Do not recommend at all. The property looks abandoned, the inside is dirty, water stained, badly patched holes in the walls, the pool is closed. We went to the room and it was extremely small, stains and cigarette burns on the linens, and more of the same from the rest of the property. We had to leave and find another place to stay."

"We had booked 2 rooms. One room smelled like smoke horribly. The other rooms bathroom had a horrible leak shooting up to the ceiling and the shower curtain was moldy. The floor was soft so the water has been damaging the bathroom for awhile. Stains in sheets and burn holes in blankets."

"I don’t like to give poor reviews, but sorry to say this place was not at all what I expected. Our room was spacious but very dirty. Not realizing at first, but as our stay went on we discovered how filthy the carpet was. Our feet were very dirty. Our shoes stuck to the carpet and the tike floors. Owner was very nice but that didn’t make up for the unclean feeling we had while there."

"Location was excellent. Easy walking to other shopping restaurants and museums. Helpful staff with good recommendations. Valet parking would be a nice option. Price was good value for money."

"The whole second floor smelled like weed. The room had blemish’s all over the walls and vanity. Don’t bother with the continental breakfast. I arrived at 730 and everything was empty and no one was monitoring it."
