"The hotel was recently renovated. Our room was small but very comfortable. Limited parking spots. A short walk from the ferry. The Sunday morning desk clerk very friendly and helped us find a great place to eat. There were no elevators to the two story hotel."
"It was fully equipped to be self-contained, which is good because there's nothing else close-by for meals. The "chalets" were unique and fun to try for a couple nights. We booked it as a way to see the more rustic northern part of Vancouver Island. Staff was really nice."
"We did not use any services. The booking on line led to many problems . I thought the sight offered a King bed or two Queens. I Chose the King bed but denied the offer of two Queen beds. The original room was about a 5 min. Walk to the end of the second floor. I phoned and complained and they very kindly gave us a similar room closer to the elevator.
We did not get a King bed as advertised and there was a Large addtional charge for our room at time of payment on line. We might have saved a small amount by going through Travelocity but there was an add on at time of booking as well the Hotel added a Large deposit ( refundable) for damages . All this and we did not get what I asked for….a King bed. The Hotel blamed this on booking on line. They had not been told of the optiongiven to me. I will not be using Travelocity in the future! "
"The property is well located in the centre of the village.
Only complained we had was due to the outside noise (Power saw and back-up alarm from forklift) created by the construction in the harbor. A room on the other side of the hotel might have cushioned that noise somewhat.
The staff lady which we connected with in the Grocery/Liquor Store was extremely helpful and sourced a microwave and cutlery for us , since the restaurants where still closed for the season.
Would definitely stay there again."
"Charming very old style hotel, lots of antiques and mementos, very nice front desk gentleman.
Ocean views unfortunately partly blocked by ugly old factory, maybe just from the rooms in the part where I stayed.
Old building but kept in excellent condition. Several pubs and restaurants within a short walk."
