Very nice stay

Went to stay at Mad Monkey for 3 days in the shared dorm for the doublebed room for couples. It was some lovely people and very helpful staf. It has happy hour for 4 hours a day, you get a free drink when arriving and they have aircon in the rooms. The rooms are still warm but feel quite private. We enojyed the pool area, especially at night where you could look at the stars and swim around before going to bed. Bathrooms and showers are shared and looks nice. Could be a bit cleaner for our taste, but nothing too bad.

This was the first hostel I ever stayed in and it’s still my favourite. I stayed in the all-female 12-bunk dorm and the bed was so spacious and comfortable - there was lots of room to put your bags at the end and multiple little shelves to put your things on. The staff were so friendly and the free shuttle to and from the night market was so convenient, I went every night of my stay. I also really liked how there was one main table at the bar, which made it so much easier to make friends during drinking games, karaoke, etc. It was my first solo trip and I was so nervous, but my stay here made me feel like everything was okay. I met the loveliest and most fascinating people here who I will never forget. I can’t express how much I enjoyed it here and in Luang Prabang in general, I’d love nothing more than to come back in the future.
