The staff said we got there too late and they had cancelled the Expedia reservation and then charged us directly for the room - way more than the Expedia rate. They said we had to pay for the next day - what a scam. We were gone by checkout time today. We have stayed there for years, many times coming in late and this had never happened before. There were not helpful - we were already exhausted from a long drive and this was very poor customer service. We tried to talk to the manager in the morning and he was rude as well. They lied about cancelling the Expedia charge They got double paid - we can still see both the charge from Expedia and the direct charge from Surestay on our credit card. That's thievery. We will find somewhere else to stay next time through.
