"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"Overall this property is great. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are exceptionally clean. I’ve stayed in another room at this property with a much nicer bathroom than the one we had this time. This one could definitely use an update. Room service was outstanding. Tonia was so friendly and through our conversation found out we were celebrating our anniversary so she came back with a bottle of wine and a sweet card. She went above and beyond to make our stay special. My only complaint...

"This was our first visit to NOLA in 25 years and we left our originally booked hotel because of the room conditions. We were so happy to find Maison Metiere!!!! The hotel was wonderful with beautiful accommodations, incredible staff, excellent restaurant and so many unique extras. We will make this our home away from home for the next several years. "
