Fantastic hotel with views across the river. Cosy and comfortable, nothing too much trouble. Lots of little touches make it a lovely place to relax.

Early season break

We were looked after very well by all of the staff and made to feel welcome, as were our two dogs who came along too. Breakfast was was delicious and our room very comfortable. Facilities on site included a small cinema room and a pool table and there were plenty of options for a quiet corner to read if you wanted just that. Very enjoyable stay,

Superb break

This was a lovely place to stay . Warm , comfortable, very clean .Wonderful views from our bedroom . We had the use of a library , large lounge with a bar and there was a snooker table . The owners Simon and Louise so friendly, welcoming and happy to chat . Very accomplished couple , great to listen to . Simon cooked breakfast, we both had a full English , one vegetarian and struggled to finish . Poached eggs were the best we have ever eaten . Plenty of fruit , yoghurt, cereals , croissants , cold platter of meats and cheese . The two young girls helping at breakfast were lovely, nothing was too much trouble and they were attentive, polite, and happy . Apart from breakfast, the old house ( beautifully maintained ) was a haven of peace , guests free to rest and relax or go out . Looe was lovely , great views , quirky shops and excellent restaurants . The next day we visited Polperro, such a beautiful village to wander around and the harbour so cute . Very special place and well looked after by it’s residents .

Classy b&b value for money

Great welcome history and showround of house great. Beautiful room big bay windows overlooking river looe.great location Breakfast good lovely cold buffet.cooked limited to full english woukd have liked avocado /omlettes Swimming pool needs bit TLC steps broke on using them. Hosts very accommodating. Offered to cook dinner on hand fir drinks in evening. Very friendly dinibg room staff. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Manor is in a good location about 10 minutes walk in the town - down the hill. The owners and stuff are great. Great breakfast. Parts of the site do require some TLC / decoration i.e Bedroom and bathroom. Outdoor pool is covered and seems heated, but also needs some TLC. But not many B&B have a pool ! free parking. Possible overall bit of TLC is required.

Lovely relaxing stay. Lovely room with beautiful views of river. Great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Great breakfast. This was our second visit and won't be our last!

fabulous views

lovely hotel I think there were proprietors but didn't see them - wanted to mention that even though the room was very clean it smelt strongly of dog but couldn't see anyone when we checked out - but good food and lovely room

A really welcoming gem

The hosts are amazing and very welcoming. A beautiful hotel with a stunning view of Looe. A delicious breakfast too.

What a lovely place this is we’re so glad we chose here . The owners go to great lengths to make sure everything is just right , they are very friendly and there’s some lovely finishing touches . Fantastic cooked breakfast and plenty of it ! We had a beautiful bedroom ( room 4 ) with great views over the river we couldn’t of asked for more ! Danielle and Nick

A perfect picturesque place

A great stay - beautiful house with stunning views, we got a lovely tour upon arrival, the rooms and fairy lights were lovely, clean comfy room, fantastic tasting breakfast and eggs to perfection! Nice garden, pool and animals and only a 5 minute walk into the lovely town that is Looe. Highly recommended

Commonwood Manor is more than just a B and B. From the moment you arrive you are treated like someone really special. Simon and Louise are fantastic hosts and all the other staff go out of there way to meet your every need. The guided tour of the property by Simon is both refreshing and informative. You have a video room,breakfast room, lounge with a well stocked bar. Outside are the gardens, outdoor covered pool and a fabulous sun drenched terrace. The room was clean and spacious with a wonderful view of the estuary. Overall a great place to stay and explore this part of Cornwall.
