"What a find! On our way from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye, it was the perfect stop. The restaurant was cozy, the food good, and the live music in the cozy bar was a huge bonus! Band members even took the time to chat when they wrapped up just before 9 p.m. Parking was free and convenient (a little tricky to find; it's tucked close to the building and not marked). The bed and bedding was comfortable and it was very quiet at night. It has historic character, also a bonus. Loved it!"

"Sheena, the manager, greeted us at check-in welcoming us to The Kelvin. We always stay here when we come to Oban. The location can't be beat, right next to the ferry terminal and the train station, shops and restaurants within minutes of walking out the door. The staff here is always friendly and the bar is one of the coziest in town. This is always a winner. "

"Great location and great staff. The room was incredibly clean and had great views in the midst of Storm Amy of the waves etc. When shutting the shower door, one side of the glass completely shattered. Obviously very embarassing as it's a sliding bi folding door so impossible to slam etc. The lady working on reception immediately moved us to a different room and contacted a first aider. The first aider cleaned up the small cuts on my feet and was just incredibly lovely given how mortified i...
