Perfect host, friendly, helpful on where to go locally for dinner. Lovely welcome with fresh coffee and fresh baked Welsh Cakes. Lovely varied breakfast, full.one and fruit on first morning, poached eggs and bacon with fresh fruits on second
We had a fantastic time was upgraded as we walked in
Food was absolutely spot on and as it says on a plaque on the wall we went there asstrangers and we’re leaving there as friends
The perfect place for a relaxing retreat, our host was so accommodating, helpful and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and we would not hesitate to recommend Acorn Court to anyone.
Amazing hosts! Sarah and her husband were so warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly as described. I truly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it. Thanks so much, Sarah!
We stayed here for two nights in a lovely twin room with seating area. It was extremely comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great as was our hostess Sarah. We definitely recommend a stay here.
Excellent stay. Perfect location and property.
Very quiet. Beautiful countryside.
Sarah was awesome and nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was great with LOTS of options available.
Will visit again without hesitation

The lady who runs it. Just so nice and knowledgeable about the area. Room large and comfortable. Breakfast first class. Poached eggs amazing. It’s a place to make new friends. Highly recommended.
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. It is in the depths of beautiful countryside and the hotel is just gorgeous - luxurious and spacious and beautiful. Sarah is lovely - nothing was too much - she put vegan ice creams in our fridge-freezer in our room, made us delicious vegan breakfasts and was so welcoming. The room was very spacious, luxurious, lovely decor, beautiful furnishings - love the little teddies etc - the bathroom was amazing, so spacious with a large shower, bathroom bidet, basin, toilet, plenty of complimentary toiletries. Beautifully clean everywhere. There are lots of lovely walks outside, out favourites were chatting to the hens and watching the sun go down from the summerhouse overlooking the pond watching the fish leap up. Very peaceful, very beautiful, absolute amazing location, amazing prices, wonderful hostess. Love Connie the little dachsie. Cannot praise this highly enough! Was really sad to leave. Hope you had a very happy birthday, Sarah!
In most B & Bs you expect a bedroom but at Acorn House you get a suite. Sarah and family are really welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and you can come and go as you would at home. We also benefited from wonderfully generous breakfasts and Sarah was full of advice on where to go locally.
Great host, lovely accommodation, breakfast was amazing, especially the pancakes! Nothing was too much trouble. There was even cake in our room for when we returned everyday.
Fantastic stay at the Acorn Country house. Sarah the owner was amazing made us feel very welcome and gave us really good advise on where to eat locally and even arranged our table. Our room was spotless with a fully equipped kitchen milk and cake provided lovely touch. Cooked breakfast was first class and also available was a Continental selection. Highly recommend and we will be going back. Thank you.
I travel away a lot with my job and I'm accustomed to bland, soulless chain hotels so this was a wonderful change of pace. The surroundings were beautiful and so peaceful.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I haven't slept that well in years. The breakfast was lovely with a surprisingly good range of options.
The icing on the cake was the wildlife. I loved the wide variety of wild birds and, when I asked nicely, the owners allowed me to see their chickens
We couldn't have chosen a better place even if we tried. The room was spacious and clean, the food was excellent and the Sarah was welcoming, warm and so friendly. Nothing was too much for her, breakfast was delicious, the cakes we found waiting in the room for us in the evening were to die for. She even fixed the weather for us, so we had glorious sunshine throughout our stay. Amazing! We have already recommended it to friends and we will be going back again and again. I am so pleased we discovered this gem of a place.
Sarah is a wonderful host who greeted us with coffee, Welsh cakes and a warm fire after a very wet journey. She answered all our questions on best places to eat (menus to browse) walking routes (maps to consult) and things to do.
Breakfast was superb and plentiful complete with fresh eggs from the resident hens and scones awaited our return on day 2.
Hot water bottles were a lovely surprise as the weather was miserable but we will definitely be returning and hopefully experience outdoors in better conditions.
Acorn Court is about half a mile from the main road and is very peaceful with just the sounds of birdsong and lambs.
We did have a kitchen and although we only made coffee it was fully equipped so you could be completely self catering if you wanted to.
Sarah went over and above our expectaions when we stayed. Our first time away together and our stay at Acorn made it an even more memorable experience.
Sarah the hostess was so welcoming and friendly right from the time we arrived. Everything was excellent. House spotlessly clean. Our room was huge with two proper armchairs, TV, fridge and lots of space in the room. Full bathroom with toilet, hand basin, bidet and bath and a separate shower. Wifi spot on. Breakfast was amazing. Fried Welsh breakfast was not greasy or oily as some can be. Apart from the main course, there were cereals, fruit, yogurt, unlimited tea and coffee, juices, croissants - everything!! And the homemade cake every evening in our room when we returned from our travels - wonderful!! The location is excellent. So quiet and peaceful. The sheep and the chickens and the farm dogs are so cute. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. I cannot recommend this B & B highly enough. My girlfriend has already recommended it to a couple of her friends and I will be doing the same. Thanks so much Sarah, if in the area again, we will not hesitate in staying with you again. Guaranteed.
