It was an exceptional property to stay in, kept extremely well. All the staff were friendly and gave excellent service. The rooms were luxurious, with double sinks, toiletries and towelling robes and slippers. Breakfasts were excellent, lots of variety and vegetarian options, with an omlette bar.

Absolutely gorgeous. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional. When there was a facilities issue with the room we originally stayed in, the front desk upgraded our stay to a larger room with a terrace at no extra charge and moved our luggage for us seamlessly. Breakfast was also incredible, the service went above and beyond.

Overall, a very good experience. The hotel is clean, comfortable and peaceful, with friendly and helpful staff who made the stay enjoyable. It is a calm place to stay, away from the noise and crowds, which I personally appreciated. The only thing to be aware of is the location. It is a little further from the city centre and the main attractions, so it may not be ideal if you want to be within walking distance of everything. However, Uber is readily available and makes getting around easy and convenient. Overall, a lovely hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and good service. I would happily stay again.

This is a palace converted into a luxury hotel. It is stunning in every aspect. The pool is beautiful as are the restaurants and bar. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. Will definitely be back!

Being able to have my complimentary breakfast delivered on a cart when I wanted it in my room. It was fantastic and I got to choose the bread I wanted and it came with cheese and ham and a big glass of refreshing orange juice and I also selected hot chocolate. Everything was delicious.

We have been visting this hotel for many years as it’s an oasis of tranquillity just outside Lisbon’s centre. We sense though that it’s not run v well as a brand. We have been about 16 times but each time we are asked if it’s our first visit!! Breakfasts are excellent and food generally is good but the restaurant in the evening is usually empty with zero atmosphere and v pricey when compared to many restaurants in the City. Facilities are good especially the gardens and pool. We escaped serious injury when the glass ceiling in a lift collapsed just as we were about to enter it. Probably just bad luck but disconcerting. We shall return but it could be so much better

Even aside from the whole palace aspect, this was an immaculate hotel with wonderful staff and an exceptional emphasis on cleanliness. The housekeeping staff definitely deserve recognition and praise. A good location to boot. My only complaint is a minor one: the fresh orange juice at breakfast was so bland it was perhaps the only time I have tasted something that tasted negatively on the sweetness scale. A fascinating but disappointing experience in an otherwise amazing stay. Would stay again.

The original building is stunning and a walk into the past. It is filled with antiques and other beautiful ornamentation. However, The new wing of the hotel where most guests stay , is now 25 years old. It is in need of refurbishment. Still, the rooms are large, clean, with lovely traditional furnishings. Staff generally are gracious and willing to accommodate, however it took one hour to check in and deliver our luggage to the room. There was only one other guest checking in at the same time. The grounds and pool are spectacular. I would return just for the pool. The food in the Asian restaurant aside the pool is delicious albeit service was very slow. All I. All I would happily return to this wonderful and comfortable hotel in Lisbon.
