"We had a very large canvas tent with multiple rooms and a thatched roof. The bed was very comfortable and netted to keep out flying critters.The front balcony overlooked a savanna type landscape where animal viewing is certainly possible, though we only saw them on our game drive. Very tasty buffet options were provided at dinner and breakfast. "We have just spent 6 nights in Pafuri and it exceeded all our expectations. The lodging, the food, the game drives were all superb. Zach our guide was fantastic and had our teenage boys both mesmerised and inspired. The staff accommodated our every need and were so friendly. "This is without a doubt the best place I have ever stayed. Cannot fault the accommodation, staff , food or facilities. Absolutely fantastic. This place and the staff are truly exceptional. "Wat hebben we genoten van safari’s onder begeleiding van Ras en Lars. Wat een toffe gasten met gevoel voor humor en kennis van de natuur. De accommodatie was ruim, schoon en met veel oog voor detail. De gerechten van Patience en de service van Mathilde maakten het tot een super fijn verblijf! De braai met de andere gasten was erg gezellig en goed verzorgd. "

"The place is lovely and me and my lady enjoyed it. The only issue I had was the bed, it was not that comfortable, same goes to the pillows, they where big. Oh and board needs some attention because when you walk inside the tent your partner got to wake up because they squicky. But nevertheless I enjoyed it, even proposed and she said yes"

"The owner of the lodge, West, is the perfect host. We arrived at the property and were immediately shown our very nice tent. The tent has all you can wish for, outside shower even. Then West cooked a Braai for us and told numerous stories from his time as a ranger. When the news came some wild dogs were in the area, he invited us immediately to join him for the search and drove us around the estate to find them. Lastly, the Lions are amazing and walking with them is a truly unique experience."

"Our time at Abelana was the BEST! With all the friendship from John & Marge (and all the staff). It was most definitely not only the best South African Experience but also the best human experience with all the great times we spent there that made it so special.
