"Great affordable place to stay when seeing Yosemite! No frills, but fine for our needs. Pros: super central, decent, not-exorbitant nearby dining options, fairly comfortable bed. Cons: parking could sometimes be quite difficult, pillows weren't great (but better than full-on camping). Fun summer-camp vibe, with lots of people camp-cooking outside their tent. "
"There was a dead spider on my bed. There’s also no cell phone service at all in this town. They have WiFi. Everything closes at 8pm or earlier. Easy room access. Check in and check out were very easy. Room was clean for the most part and beds were somewhat comfortable."
"Wonderful staff, fun game room, nice hot tub with Mountain views. Plus extras for the kids (root beer floats on Thursdays and Easter egg hunt on Easter). Had everything we needed for a great ski weekend."
"very nice location inside the valley, room is dark and looks dated but clean. A short walk to the Yosemite fall. Cafe food is not that good and very pricy for the quality. "
"Clean and comfortable. Heater worked well. Easy to get to and check in. Close to the lake and skiing. Kind of small for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Also outlets could use updating. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend. "
"Will never stay at Double Eagle again.
- Our door lock would not work and I told her guy working there the first night and he said it was a keycard issue even though it clearly wasn't. He "reset" the cards and they still didn't work. My family was locked out after snowboarding all day and they had to call a maintence man to help (Sicily I think was the name of the front desk help this day who was very nice/helpful). So - we stand around for an hour as two guys try to fix the door and are unable to. So, we have to pack up the entire room that we were fully unpacked and move to a new cabin. The cabin was slightly better than where they had us originally (which was a nice upgrade) BUT THEN THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US AN EXTRA $50 PER DAY FOR THE NEW CABIN - EVEN THE DAY THAT WE STAYED IN THE ORIGINAL LOWER GRADE ROOM!!?
- Also, note that that the gym and some areas do not allow kids
- We went to the restaurant there and there was 1 poor server for like 10 families and we had to wait for the check so long, my wife and kids left and I stuck around until I could finally pay.
- The new room we were put in didn't have coffee and was SOOO creaky and loud when the wind blew, it kept me up all night. The original room had super loud floors too.
- The bedroom light flickered constantly if turned on
Just overall, very disappointed and annoyed with this place. I have literally never written a review here before but I felt the need to after this poor experience.
