"This hotel in Kandersteg is beautiful and very centrally located. Only about a 10 minute walk from the Kandersteg cable car station which takes you to the famous lake Oeschinensee. The staff is wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing as well."

"We were pleasantly surprised of how clean, spacious the lay out of our unit was, we were in room 305. It had a nice view of the creek, had a balcony with mountain views. We arrived late, no one was in the reception counter but our keys were left, labeled with our last name, with useful hotel info. They have free parking. We had what we needed. We were especially impressed with their free breakfast, nice buffet selection and we were told we can order omelette, eggs, waffles, crepes. We enjoyed the food, I had the omelette with mushroom, tomatoes, ham. We had been to several hotels during this trip with included breakfast but their free breakfast was the best, selection and service. We were attended by Mr Rune, he was very nice, accommodating, very friendly guy. Since we arrived late night before, he reminded us when we came out, of the city tax we were not able to pay at check in, then let us have breakfast even before it was time, he took our food orders, he was very friendly, always smiling and engaging. We had a wonderful stay, they have comfortable beds, pillows unlike the hotel we’ve been to prior nights; their breakfast was excellent and Mr Rune’s friendly service sets the tone of our day. We highly recommend this place."

"Beautiful hotel and view. Close proximity to transport and local hikes. Our meals exceeded expectations - great local food selection and the kitchen staff provided excellent service. There is no AC anywhere in the hotel or any of the hotels we ate at locally and we forgot that ice is hard to come by in Europe. Seems to be the standard, but for some reason our group thought we saw a note that this location had AC. August was unseasonably hot during our stay, so be prepared if you’re staying at any hotel in this area during summer months. No shampoo or conditioner provided, either. Again, this seems like it might be standard but for a first time traveler, this might be good to note. Overall, this location met our needs and seems to be on par with other hotels in the area. Kitchen service/meals were top notch."

"Self check in, was not English friendly. Works after figuring it out . Room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Nobody there to ask anything. There is no parking and we parked down the street at a public garage. Breakfast was amazing. Id recommended getting the check in done before arriving and plan on parking down the road"

"I love Kandersteg and the Victoria Hotel is the PERFECT place to stay here, with affordable prices, great breakfast and right in the center close to everything. This was the second time I've stayed there and will be back again. The only reason I marked a 4 in some areas is because the hotel is definitely "old" and could use some simple updating in the rooms to make them more comfortable (worn carpets, old furniture/fixtures, etc). But for me, I do not have fancy tastes so I enjoyed my stay. "
