"Immaculate, spacious room, and comfortable bed. Strong, hot, shower. Decent air conditioning. The only oddity is lack of microwave, but you get an oven instead (and food reheated that way tastes better, anyway). If you like windows open, the road by the property is not quiet on weekday mornings, and there are no reliable spots to find food anywhere near the property. But that's kind of an Italy thing, anyway. Learn the bus system before you arrive -- it's state-of-the-art and your best bet...

"Lovely property and fantastic staff who went above and beyond. Hotel is about a 10-15min walk from downtown Bellano but it is a wonderful, non-touristy but still alive town. Would stay here again."

"Wonderful stay in Varenna. Room was comfortable. Not large but we really only sleep in our room. Did not find the center until our second day. Visited the botanical gardens which are beautiful. Climbed to Castello de Vezio. Challenging walk but worth it in the end. Ferry stop is very close to the hotel. We did take the Varenna Express bus back to Milan since the train tracks are under construction. Well worth the extra money. Straight trip to Milan Centrale. Would like to visit again"
