The lobby is charming and the room is very clean and comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful. I'd definitely stay there again and highly recommend booking there if you need to visit Hanover. Everything you need is also in walking distance!
Wonderful hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. They offer excellent hospitality with free water bottles, ice already packaged for you, snacks and eye masks. I would definitely stay here again and I found out they allow pets too!
Six South Street is a fantastic hotel. I took my parents to visit my daughter at Dartmouth. We all loved the hotel. The rooms were nice and my Mom even bought the shampoo.
The concierges were super nice and helpful.
The afternoon cookies were out of this world.
If I could get a room, I would stay there every time, I went to visit my daughter.
Night manager was rude. Continental breakfast was thin. But the room was lovely, the location is great, the beds were comfy, and the robe was so soft I didn’t want to take it off.
The staff was friendly when we arrived for valet parking and check-in. Lobby was bright, clean and very comfortable and we love it immediately. The complementary water and snack station was very thoughtful, and of course the room was l well kept. Location was great - near all the shops and restaurants, as well as the campus. Our family of four thoroughly enjoy our stay at Six South Street and would highly recommend it to anyone that comes to Hanover/Dartmouth!
Immaculate rooms, very well appointed and designed. Floor two is pet friendly and the main area was stocked with complimentary water bottles, cookies, dog treats and even ear plugs and sleeping masks. Excellent location in town close walk to Dartmouth college.
I was very excited about this hotel during my visit for fall foliage, but was sadly disappointed. Rude staff, slow service, unreliable amenities, such as the water bottles frequently being out of stock on the floor. This could be an amazing hotel, but Customer Service could use an upgrade. I did like the location in that it was walkable to numerous local restaurants and there was a parking garage next-door so that you are not forced to park valet. The restaurant downstairs needs to hire more employees. I waited for at least 15 minutes one evening and was never addressed so I left. I experienced the same issue when attempting to be served at Molly’s up the street so maybe this is New Hampshire hospitality? Pine (located in a different hotel) was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious, and I especially appreciated the robes and house slippers that were provided. They offer eye masks, ear plugs, bottled water, bagged ice, and fresh fruit on each floor which was such a nice touch (when stocked). This is not a bad option if you are looking to explore Woodstock and the Kancamagus highway but I would recommend booking a room elsewhere.
I have stayed here many times and I have always found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and well maintained. They also have added coffee and breakfast available in the morning which is a plus. My only complaint is that the valet parking is exorbitant. It's easier to leave your car on the street over night and move it before 9 am, which they don't tell you.
