Fouillé en 1897, par MM d'Achon et de Farcy, un squelette avait été découvert, placé à 6 m du fond, les pieds vers l'entrée. Plus récemment, ce sont des débris de brique romaine et des éclats de silex blond qui ont été trouvés par Michel Gruet (1912-1998). "We spent a lovely few days with Jean-Phillipe and Michelle in this very tranquil and beautiful part of rural France. Jean-Phillipe had some local wines available to sample and also has a BBQ that can be used and a games room. The swimming pool was very clean and everything very well maintained. It’s a short drive to Saumur where there are shops and restaurants and activities such as bike hire. Would recommend."

"I was attending an event at the IceParc so the location is great. The room is small but adequate and comfortable, and the kitchenette is very nice. The supermarket next day is convenient. I rated cleanliness lower because some kitchen utensils were not clean; I had to wash cutlery before using."
