Laycock Street Theater

Good location within walking distance to harbour. Rooms presented nicely but could've done with a proper vacuum and handyman to tighten some loose screws like bedside lamp. Overall good experience.

Eighth next to QVB, very safe even at nighty and a block away criminal tram and bus line made it very convenient

A wonderful 'find'! Tucked away in a cobbled lane is this beautiful old, classy hotel! Wonderful ambience, lovely rooms with such a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom (including in ours, an old fashioned deep bath!), and great service. Add to that the generous and lovely breakfast delivered to your room, and the Establishment Hotel bar downstairs - large, buzzy, yet no noise from it up to the room, access on to lower George St with the light rail right outside the door, and you have the perfect place to stay. We will stay again!
