"Very friendly staff"

"Our phone didn’t work and we couldn’t raise the blinds in our room. When we told the staff they told us to use our cell phones and maintenance would take care of it tomorrow and offered to move us to a room on the fourth floor while the elevator wasn’t working. They didn’t know there is a remote to raise the blinds. We found out when we checked out."

"An old building budget motel with maybe a few permanent residents and no fancy cars in the lot but worked well for this old biker. The room was recently painted and clean. No bugs, a hot shower with great pressure. Waffle house across the street, McD next door. A good view of the famous mountain."

"We needed a landing spot for a long drive to the beach and this place fit the bill. In fact, many of the guests were doing the same thing. Check in was easy. Property is dated but obviously cared for. Rooms were clean and updated. Paint was peeling off the bathroom door, but it didn’t bother us. We arrived in time to sit by the pool for a few minutes but before we could do that, we had to sign a waiver. The pool was supervised by management and rules were clearly posted. "Wonderful area, lots to do & see. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. So very quiet up there, large porch, lots of rocking chairs & a swing. They had a spacious interior(living room & separate dining room), library with puzzles & games. Good Coffee & tea Excellent food! Staff was personable but were careful to give you space. Can't wait to go back!"

"We had a wonderful experience at this dome site! It was a hot day, but inside the dome was very cool. The views were amazing, and it was a very peaceful spot. We enjoyed the fire pit, and we will definitely return! We also love how close it was to nearby attractions like Pilot mountain State Park, Mount Airy and even hanging rock State Park."

The property is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and we loved seeing the beautiful view of Pilot Mountain right from the farm. "The Oakdale Inn is our favorite place to stay while in southern Virginia. The Inn is wonderful, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast is very enjoyable, and the location is very convenient to anything that you're doing in the area.
