Great lodge on a great lake…

I highly recommend Moraine Lake Lodge for its accommodations and proximity to the lake. My wife and I went here for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and its surroundings. Of the two lakes (Louise & Moraine), we were grateful we stayed at Moraine Lake Lodge as its lake and surrounding mountains and its hiking trails were more appealing and less touristy.

Romantic Gem - Almost

We chose this hotel abpve the Fair,not as wanted a smaller and quieter out of the way romantic destination but it came with a few disappointing surprises. Location idyllic when the weather is kind to you. We were in a romantic cabin with real wood fire but the romance was decreased by us not realising that we had a public footpath outside the lodge as this is a major tourist destination with anything up to 10 coaches in car park by the morning. This lack of privacy, including sharing breakfast with crop ins from tours really lessened the enjoyment for us. In addition the food in the restaurant was significantly overpriced for the lack of quality delivered. We chose to change to eating at the Fairmont for 2 nights despite the hours return trip there. We had also hoped to try canoes on the lake and a guided walking tour but discovered that canoes so not get used in the rain and the tours do not happen in the week! This was by far the most expensive hotel in our holiday and did not deliver value for money and the weather which was truly horrific did not enhance the experience.

Fantastic and it snowed overnight. Couldnt use canoes but snow made up for that!

Ideal alternative to Lake Louise accommodations

My wife and I can't speak highly enough about the Moraine Lake Lodge. The view of Moraine Lake from our cabin was outstanding. Services including meals, guided hikes, and evening speakers also distinguished this lodge. The road leading up to the lodge did become quite crowded with tourists visiting Moraine Lake or using the hiking trails that start at the lodge. That should be expected given the beauty of the area. And compared to Fairmount Lake Louise, the crowds were lighter. I would recommend the Moraine Lake Lodge for those visiting the Lake Louise area.

most amazing place on the planet

i love everything about this place. the people, the surroundings, the room, the energy. we stayed here one night and then the fairmont on lake louise. as soon as i arrived at the fairmont i instantly regretted leaving moraine lake lodge. stay here if you are you around the lake louise area. you wont regret it

Wonderful Hotel Ever Had

Our family stay 1 night there and this is best experience we ever hd! Just imaging when u wake up and to see so beautiful Moriane Lake just right in front your eyes and it's absoulty the best memory last in your life. Also we spend morning time to canoe in the lake and experinece different look of the lake, we thanks all of the hotel staff to help us enjoy the wonderful stay in the lodge!

風景と雰囲気を堪能できました。

素敵なロッジでした。予約した際は最後の１部屋しかなく、高い宿泊代でしたが、美しいモレイン湖を夕方から早朝独り占めしたような感覚になって素敵な気分にさせられました。ただ、１泊だけではロッジを楽しめないと思います。最低２泊した方がこのロッジを最大限楽しめるのではないかと思いました。

Most beautiful lake setting in all of Banff

For a special anniversary, my husband and I stayed for 3 nights in a Deluxe King Cabin overlooking the breathtaking turquoise lake. While there are hikers along the lake trail most of the day, from 9 in the morning until 7 pm at night, it was mostly a quiet, serene setting. Our cabin was on the end, closest to the hiking trailhead entrance, away from the canoe dock, which can be noisy between the operating hours of 10 am- 5 pm. We ate all of our breakfasts and dinners in the Lodge dining room and the food and attentive service was excellent. We hiked each day with a guide (free for guests) and I highly recommend the experience. The hikes were not too difficult, and the information shared by the guide really added to the experience. My favorite photo from our 12 days in Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise is from the upper perch above Moraine Lake, which is easily hiked up to from the parking lot.

Excellent location small room

Super friendly staff, great to have activities included as well as breakfast! Room was a little small with, very little storage for bags, etc. Overall a very pleasant stay!

We went to Moraine Lake Lodge on the strong recommendation of a friend and we are so glad that we did. It was absolutely perfect for us. It felt incredibly special and private (so different from the big hotels at Lake Louise and Banff) and the service was wonderful. We enjoyed breakfast and went canoeing - we were the only ones on the lake! This does not feel like stuffy or super glamorous luxury, but a privilege to stay in such a an incredible location.

夢の国へ

部屋からの眺望は素晴らしかったです。夕食のレストランでも、従業員はみな気軽のお客に話しかけ、フランクな雰囲気で好感が持てました。 予約時は空いていなかった２ベッドルームをチェックインの際、希望したところ、やりくりしていただきました。その応対してくれた女性従業員の方は大変素晴らしい対応をしてくれました。 また、アクティビティとして、ガイド付きハイキングツアーがとてもよかったです。熊がでるので、４人以上のグループでしかハイキングできないと現地で知り、困っていたところ、ホテルでガイド付きツアーを実施すると聞き、助かりました。実際参加したところ、ガイドの若い女性はやさしくて、かつ一生懸命でした。また、一緒したイギリスの母子とも仲良くなることができ、有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。 モレーンレイクロッジはその眺望だけでも、十分満足できますが、加えて従業員の皆さんのおかげでさらに充実した時を過ごせたと思います。

美しい宿

非常に美しいモーレン湖畔にある唯一の宿。 部屋は雰囲気があり眺めもよいが、狭いのが難。レストランも解放感があってよい。夕刻と朝の湖畔の散歩やカヌーは気持ちがよく、大げさではなく感動的ともいえる景色。 ただし、ホテルまでの交通手段は限られており、我々はレイクルイーズからタクシーを利用（50ドル＋チップ）したが英語が不得意なため苦労した（タクシーはシーズンだけの臨時のもので、普通の車に「TAXI」と書いたボードが掲げてあるだけのものだった）。 料金も決して安くないが、一味違った宿としては満足度は高い。

Very nice, but oh the price!

Great staff. Maria was awesome. Perfect setting. But so very pricey, but they are the only place Within walking distance of the lake.

ロッジは、湖の前にあり立地がよいです。静かでとても癒されるところです。宿泊者無料のカヌーで、景色を堪能できます。宿泊者無料のハイキングは、一泊でしたので時間がなく参加できず残念でした。連泊することをおすすめします。

Cozy cabins by a beautiful lake in mountains

It's good to have enjoyed one lovely night in this cozy place by a beautiful lake in mountains. With a free hour of boat rental was even better!!

Great stay!

The staff at the hotel were great. Very friendly & helpful with any request. We were even given a walking tour of the hotel & the facilities at check-in. Breakfast, rental of the canoes & firewood for the fireplaces were all included at no extra charge. Of course the view is just spectacular especially after the day crowds have headed home. We had a great time & would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area especially if you are planning to do any of the hikes in the area.
