"Absolutely golden place to stay at! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and understanding to get the key before check in time to fit my schedule of the day. They went above and beyond knowing I was a young female solo traveller a long ways from home, owner gave me her number to check in with to make sure I made it back safe and sound that night since I was going so far away so late at night for an event!
Room was clean and wonderful! Has a tv, fridge, microwave, sink, burners, dishes, coffee pot, shampoo and soap, towels, anything you need to eat and cook besides a pan and pot!
It was the perfect middle ground location for my plans to go down to waterford/Sydney one day and then around the cabot trail the next! If you want the best of both areas this is definitely the place to stay! The morning view has some beautiful trees which were in bloom-gorgeous and water in sight, my favourite. It’s only minutes away from all the basics of a community-gas station, Tim hortons, co ops, takeout.
I definitely plan on returning to this little gem again! Anyone who asks for a place to stay with a bed is getting my recommendation for here! Prices were fair and cheap for its central location to all the amenities nearby! Speaking to the staff was like speaking to a long time friend you always knew and I absolutely love how much they put into doing everything they can as honest as they can! 💜"
"My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Cabin 11 high above the distillery. We spent two nights there and enjoyed two very pleasant evenings in the pub with excellent live entertainment from 8 to 10 pm. A complimentary shuttle bus between the cabin and the pub ensured we were free to enjoy ourselves without need or concern for driving up the steep climb back to our cabin in our own vehicle. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and we arrived with many trees in full bloom. Although the weekend turned out to be cold and wet, we hardly minded, being able to enjoy a lovely fire in the little woodstove. The well equipped cabin had everything we could have asked for and the staff went out of their way to provide additonal paper and kindling when we ran out on the second day. The peaceful atmosphere and mountain views made this a very romantic getaway that we fully intend to return to next year. "
