Because of an issue due to booking this stay originally and signed in on my phone a duplicate reservation was made. I was unable to locate confirmation of my original reservation and made another the day I stated my trip. This came up at check in. Front desk told me to call Expedia. Expedia attempted twice to persuade the manager at this property to waive the cancellation. They would not. I know they can. The property was not full the night of my stay. I will be contacting IHG customer service directly. I will not be staying at this property on my return trip. Also--they put me on the 3rd floor with a dog and the hallway smelled like weed when I arrived. Apparently not enforcing no smoking.
