"Loved my stay here. It was only for 2 nights, but it was pleasant. The dinner and breakfast buffet were great, had everything I wanted. I loved spending time in the recreational space, playing table tennis and reading up on Sega culture in Mauritius. Room was great, a little on the small side, but the balcony made up for it. Staff were helpful in bringing bags up to the room and arranging transportation to a tour the day of our flight. Would gladly stay here again."
"La Pirogue is one of the loveliest hotels in the world! A well-balanced mix of laid-back island charm, with professionalism, friendliness, fun activities and the best hotel food you will find anywhere (mix of authentic local and themed international, always something for everyone and a classy pastry section straight out of Paris!). The grounds are picturesque and immaculate, whilst the staff are amazingly friendly and attentive. Cannot recommend La Pirogue highly enough! "
"We absolutely loved our stay at Happy Days Guesthouse in La Gaulette and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The guesthouse has such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Its location is excellent, with a great variety of restaurants and shops all within walking distance, which made everything very convenient.
Our room and bathroom were both spacious, with plenty of room to feel comfortable, and we especially enjoyed having a balcony to relax on. It’s worth noting that there is no lift, only stairs, but this didn’t take away from our experience.
The staff were truly wonderful. They were so warm and welcoming and made the whole place feel like home. We genuinely didn’t want to leave.
Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with delicious fresh seasonal fruit and a French baguette that we simply couldn’t get enough of.
The guesthouse is also ideally located for exploring, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away and many must-see spots in the southwest of Mauritius nearby.
Overall, a fantastic stay in a lovely guesthouse. We would definitely recommend it."

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel staff absolutely incredible, the service was fantastic and the hotel itself was very good. The pool bar staff absolutely joy, Nikish, Yash and co a really good laugh. There are many people like the towel lady, Adele absolutely diamond of a woman. "
"The staff were very friendly, there was never a time that you were not greeted by a staff member no matter what there role was there. We felt so welcome! "
"As there aren’t many hotel options in the area, and most others are quite expensive, this place is a great find. Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, it offers beautiful sunset views, and if you’re staying in Room 3, you'll have a great view of Le Morne. It’s within walking distance of a grocery store and Kind Coffee shop, which my Le Morne guide said was the best coffee he had in Mauritius. This is a great base for exploring the southwest of the island. The only downside was a foul smell near the toilet."
"The hospitality at Aanari was exceptional! From the first hello to Bon voyage the staff were extremely accommodating. Early check in, late check out, extra tea do the room, help with appliances, providing early breakfasts and snacks for day trips! They went above and beyond. The hotel is seconds away from the beach, and best sunset location. A lovely pool with sunloungers, the food buffet was generous. I would highly recommend and revisit "
