  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

Relais de Chantecor

Nous avons passé une nuit en famille au relais. Super accueil et excellent petit déjeuner où tout est fait maison ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La chambre est bien équipée avec en plus un frigo où nous avons pu y placer nos gourdes pour qu elles soient fraîches pour le lendemain.

Petit coin de paradis en Dordogne

Chambre tres spacieuse pour 4, très fonctionnelle, très bien situé, l ensemble est très charmant. Pdj top, juste un petit manque d une mini offre salé....pour ceux qui mangent que salé le matin, mais tt est fait maison, produits bio, locaux donc top! Piscine très agréable, hôte charmant . Je recommande++++

Pour une nuit ou plus je ferais certainemle détour

Séjour de 3 jours / 2 nuits en famille avec repas à la table d’hôtes. L’accueil et l’endroit sont parfaits pour un séjour rempli de calme et repos ! La propriétaire est d’une grande gentillesse et sa cuisine faite maison un régal ! On reviendra avec grand plaisir !

Excellent séjour au Relais de Chantecor

Agréable séjour passé au Relais de Chantecor. Les propriétaires des lieux sont très sympathiques et bienveillants et nous ont réservé un très bon accueil. Excellent petit déjeuner préparé avec soin par la propriétaire : nombreux produits frais et fait-maison. Nous avons également profité de la table d'hôtes, un régal ! Les lieux sont très apaisants, la chambre familiale spacieuse et confortable et la piscine très appréciable. Nous ne saurions que recommander les lieux !

This location was above expectations. The owner and husband very extremely friendly and full of service. (thank you for the great tip and route to the caves!) The rooms were good the breakfast was great the location was great (peaceful) The kids loved it (especioally the swimming pool;) On your way to Spain and want a rest in between of 1-2 nights? This is the place to do so!!! Great area for walks or come to rest. We will return, Warm regards, Diana, William and the kids:)

Lovely countrystyle and friendly

Lovely place at the countryside. Stylish room with a stunning bathroom. Unfortunly we had missed that dinner had to be booked in advance, but the service was top-class anyway and there was a very nice restaurang with lokal food in the village nearby.

Une seule nuit passée dans cette chambre d'hôte mais tout fut absolument parfait. De l'accueil très chaleureux par les propriétaires jusqu'au confort de notre chambre, nous avons été ravis de notre passage dans ce charmant lieu. Un mot supplémentaire pour le petit déjeuner. Ce fut également un moment très agréable et nous nous sommes véritablement régalés de ces multiples produits bio et frais. Une adresse à fortement recommander !

Accueil agréable dans un hameau tout au calme

Agréablement accueillis dans une maison de caractère typiquement local. Piscine permettant un rafraichissent salutaire en période de grosses chaleurs. Hôtes respectueux de l'environnement, aussi bien dans leurs pratiques culturales que dans leur gestion de la piscine et des bâtiments.La table est généreuse et plats avec produits du jardin et des producteurs locaux. Loin de tout, il est préférable de commander le repas.

Une belle étape

Très agréable séjour dans ce petit paradis niché au milieu d’un écrin de verdure. Nous avons reçu un très bon accueil des hôteliers, Valérie et Emmanuel, qui sont aux petits soins et font leur maximum pour que vous vous sentiez comme à la maison. Les chambres sont bien équipées et très propres. Et les petits plus sont la piscine et le petit déjeuner composés de pains et confitures maison.
